John just came back from a trip to Tibet and is telling his friend Peter about his trip. However, he does have one complaint.

"I saw plenty of Tibetan monks - they're called Lamas - but I really wanted to see the Dalai Lama. I saw where he lives, but I didn't see him in person. I think I'll have to go back sometime."

To this Peter replied, "No you don't. You won't see the Dalai Lama no matter how many times you visit Tibet."

Why did Peter say this? Why won't John see the Dalai Lama if he goes back to Tibet?

fizzmaister Mar 29, 2008	No the current Dalai Lama is believed to be the 14th reincarnation of the bodhisattva of compassion. Who has taken a vow to continue reincarnating, despite having achieved enlightenment, to help others reach nirvana.
