Dur. That makes sense now. *hits self in head* You're obviously smarter than I am... Way to go!
I made the assumption that there was only one station per car, as that is the only type of car wash that I have seen. That is illogical as it is a logic problem, and it stumped me for a bit.
The teaser doesn't say how many stations there are for each cycle, so the answer is "can't tell".
However, if you make the assumption that there is only one of each, then the number of minutes is far easier to determine. The last car takes 3 minutes and can't start until the 3-1=2 other cars have started giving 3+2=5 minutes.
Simplistic.
