Scaramouche Jones
Trivia brain teasers have some element of trivia in them, but they are not just pure trivia questions.
Scaramouche Jones, the local professional circus clown spent most of his lunch-hour painting his portrait on an eggshell. The portrait looked realistic enough, but he was not a serious painter. Moreover, his artistic rendition was not done for fun.
Why would Scaramouche be doing this?
Answer
Scaramouche was a professional clown who tried to have a unique face. By painting his face on an eggshell, his face is actually copyrighted and the egg is deposited with the International Clown's Club in a bank vault in England.
If someone copies another clown's face, that person is actually stealing the clown's spirit.
When a clown dies, the egg is crushed. All that is left of the clown's spirit are fragments of the eggshell.

| Kewl trivialities - but why an eggshell? And does this only work for British clowns?
And now,a moment of silence honoring Larry Harmon- the world is just a shade dimmer without Bozo the Clown in it! |
