The way I read this, no one clinked to their right and as each clink to the left would have needed a clink to the right from the person on the left I said none.
There would of been more clinks because everyone would have had to clink with the person on their left and then go to the right as they are on the lest of the other person - too confusing
68 is correct. If everybody clinks with the person to their left, they must also clink with the person to their right. Since each person clinks twice, but each clink takes 2 people, there are 68 clinks.
not enough info.. because it is 67 if they are in lets say a straight line... because the last person doesn't have anybody to the left of them
it does mention a circular table!
not enough info
The easiest way to look at it is like this, there are 68 people, and each one has 1 left hand side. Now bearing in mind that each person chinks their glass twice, once to the left and once to the right, enabling their neighbour to clink left. but we are only counting the left hand clinks. so there fore 68.
or you can think of it like this...there are 68 people but they can only clink once so if person number one clinks it then that is one clink then number two clinks with number three so that is number 2 do you guys get what i am saying?? oh and one more thing....if you guys THINK then you would know that this teaser gave enough info to figure it out.
I agree with Mad-ade and watupchicks, I got it fairly easily, there was plenty of info.
There should be 136 clinkings. If Mad-ade clinks the person on his left, call her Slinky, Slinky still has to clink the person on HER left, so she clinks twice. As the clink travels to the left, each person clinks with the person on the right and then the person on the left, round to the person on Mad-Ade's left, who clinks with him. 68 + 68 = 136 clinks
I agree with frank0001h, if everyone is clinking to their left then the person on Mad Ade's left will also be clinking to their left, therfore he can not clink with them ending up in a big fat 0
Can nobody understand that you only count clinks to the LEFT. If I clink the person to my left and then tun to clink the person on my right then I have only made one clink to the left. Seen as there is 68 people there, there is only 68 clinks
