"I Can Answer Anything"

Trick brain teasers appear difficult at first, but they have a trick that makes them really easy.

Jake and his friend Paco had very famous challenge sessions at their school. One would suggest something they could do, and the other would prove it wrong somehow.

One day, Jake surprised Paco by stating: "I can answer any question in the world."

Sure that he would win the challenge, Paco accepted the task of proving it wrong. He wrote up a test full of impossible questions. After a while, Jake returned the test. Paco unbelievably lost the challenge and told Jake he could indeed answer any question. How did Jake win?

OF COURSE! Jake never said he could answer any questing CORRECTLY!
spinnercatAus*
Dec 17, 2009

you're not answering the question if you say "i don't know". All you doing is passing back information about yourself. It's like answering "2+2" with "i like cheese", something that's not an answer but relieves your of the obligation to answer.
Superwolf26Aus*
Dec 24, 2009

If I said "I'm not going to answer that" it would still be an answer. An answer is a reply to a query. Anything can be an answer to a question if you feel like that's the right one.

i get it, he said he could answer anything, NOT that he could answer it correctly. good teaser.

To LGM- since you refuse to visit the exterminator, do us all a favor and DISAPPEAR.
Go ahead and report this as offensive, I couldn't care less. I see you as a person that seeks attention, because you probably have no friends.
doeheadAus*
Feb 11, 2015

Mr GREEN IDIOT or SICK RABBIT or whatever you want to call your self. I've been reading on this site for a few weeks again and I want to inform you that for your well being as a stupid commentator you best leave before the EXTERMINATOR as doodles has suggested finds you. So do your thing and believe I will do mine. I guarantee I will be the soul survivor.

The trick category is almost always fun. Nice teaser. I have a feeling we're in for a long one today from you know who. Hopefully I'm wrong but I can feel the heat of his furiously typing little green finger. .... poke ...... Poke poke .....poke....

You guys know that Little Green "Man" is a female right? (or so he/she claims). Apparently her older brother "BadBunny" was not the "Golden Child" but the Platinum one. So much so their parents recycled his name (Jay) and gave it to her (Jaye). She is slso enamored of him (and their "father") that she mimics his speech pattern exactly.
Given he told us he was in his 80s, that is a neat trick considering they likely have not lived in the same home for 55+ years.
Actually, come to think of it, that is kind of sick and twisted, that they are so closely linked no one on here can tell the differ-nee between the three of them.
We should stop picking on him/her/them/it. I mean think about how hard it must be having so many people living inside your head..... I feel bad for him/her/them/it. He/she/they/it must be very lonely Amidst |all the noise.

Feb 11, 2015

Ok ... OK ....

You got me.

Nailed .... "ice-cold" ...

I'm a multi-personality, delusional, paranoid schizo .....

loner ... with no friends .....

and nothing to do but harass all of you on Braingle.

And the suggestions that we (:lol take all this over to one of the Forums won't work either. We (:lol tried that and nobody of consequence (editors, Jake, etc.) paid any attention.
_________________________

Now .... that we (:lol have all that out of the way ... let's get back to the facts.

The last two published (several days ago) Teasers have received ..........

(wait for it) .................

ZERO comments.

And I'll make a wager (anybody interested?) ....

That the NEXT FIVE accepted teasers will do no better than three comments average.

If I lose I'll tell ALL of you what REALLY happened to Dad and Jay.

Hey "Jaye" what happened to the agreement you made not only with me but with at least one (and I think two) other users?
You told me that you would refrain from commenting for a month and then made the same agreement with someone else about a week later.
My month of peace has not ended yet and given you remade the agreement a week later- we should be enjoying at least 2 more LGM/BB/BB02/BB03 (I think he was your "cousin" if I recall) free weeks.
Nice to see you are a man of your word.
You renigging on an agreement loses any respect I had for you at all. To me the bigget offences one can inflict on another is going back on his word and having no regard for my time.

habs, he already did.

I think the comments should be on the riddles, not the other commenters. Now I begin to understand why there is a click-on option to report a comment as offensive. There are 470 guests on the site right now, this is the riddle of the day, they're here to enjoy our mutual creativity, not mean-spirited comments.
Oh, good teaser.
