What is "col"; is it a common word? I had "city" but for a much easier, different reason - it was the only word on the list that wasn't one syllable.
Your reason, too.
"Col" is "a pass or depression in a mountain range or ridge".
And "fired" has two syllables.
And I was hoping that the difficulty rating would be higher... oh well, guess I need to make even more difficult teasers!

Great quiz, Shadows. Thanks for the explanation, too Rated it high
Fired does not have 2 syllables... but I picked Brand because it is the only one with combined consonant sounds.
I liked this teaser, Shady. Good job. Thanks for posting.
Brand is the only word where the second letter is not a vowel.
"Non" is a prefix but not a whole word. It occurs only in foreign phrases like "persona non grata".
