This took some time but was really fun, using the clues to get the phrase and the phrase to get the clues. I'd like to see more of these!
Quick Wits take time to complete. I did not know where to begin. How is a puzzle like this started. I will appreciate you input. you can email me a example, a short example.
It says in the instructions, "Work back and forth between [the clues and the witticism] to complete the puzzle."
To get a puzzle started, first answer whichever clues one can, and transfer the letters in the answer to the witticism. Then try to infer some of the words in the witticism from the letters you have filled in, keeping in mind that *usually* basic words such as THE or OF are more common than complicated words like QAT or XI. Transferring these letters to the spaces in the clues might allow you to solve more clue answers, which will allow you to figure out more of the witticism, and so on.
I have only made two Quick Wits puzzles so far, and this one's much shorter than the other one (which isn't yet on Braingle, but contains 68 letters). I'll have to try to make a shorter and/or easier one sometime.
