Logic-Grid
Logic Grid puzzles come with a handy interactive grid that will help you solve the puzzle based on the given clues.Logic-Grid
Five students compared their most recent math test grades while waiting in the hallway for their art teacher to find his classroom keys. By some fluke, none of the budding artists are in the same math class or received the same grade (from an A+ to a B). Using the following clues, see if you can figure out the first name, last name, math class and grade of each student before the art teacher lets the students into class. Happy solving!
1. Only one of the students had the same number of letters in both their first and last names; and only one had the same first letter in both names.
2. Hunter received a higher grade than Mr. Attica, but lower than the geometry student.
3. Even though she had two tests in one day, the algebra I student scored higher than the girl taking algebra II.
4. Both students with a plus sign in their grades are boys.
5. Ms. Ingraam, Ms. Grinde and the Trigonometry student all scored higher than a B+. The Sommer child and the business math student did not have an A in their grade.
6. Hunter, the student with the same initial for both her first and last name, and the Geometry student are on the girls swim team. The trigonometry student and Ian spotted a thick set of keys in their teacher's duffle bag. (All five students are mentioned in this clue.)

Wow!!! That was hard but fun! I thought I had it figured out and realized I was wrong and had to start all over again!!! Good job!
That was a tricky one! Thanks.
It took me several tries, but I finally solved it. Very good one!
that didnt have enough information. but it was interesting
I have never heard of a girl named Hunter.
I've never heard of a girl named Hunter either. So when I started, I used the assumption that Hunter was a boy.
Hunter threw me, but on the second try I got it.
that is so hard it took me a2 hours to figure out that one nice job tricky.
Thanks for the encouragement, this is my 1st teaser. And yes, Hunter is one of those names that is now used for both girls and boys.
I'm horrible at these things, but nice teaser . Yeah I think I've come across a girl named Hunter
For step 6 it got really confusing for me- I thought Hunter was the girl who had the same initial for the first and last name and that messed up the whole thing
I too thought that Hunter was a boy. I was confused because it seemed that there were only 2 boys, and Ian and Andy are clearly boy's names. But then the 2nd to the last (or so) clue said that Hunter was on the girl's swim team. And you knew that she wasn't the one with the same letter in her last name or the Geometry student.
Then I thought that I was stuck, but then the 1st clue gave the answers.
Nice teaser! I have now done all 3 of your teasers. Please keep submitting new ones!

I am always frustrated when people use male/female pronouns to eliminate people because so many names can be used for both genders. In this case, I know a few different female Andy's, as well as some female Hunters, so I did not feel comfortable assuming male or female on either. Since you do not say that Andy is male, this puzzle is not solvable. You might want to consider identifying male or female for anyone you want to be able to eliminate based on gender. Otherwise great puzzle.
Fair enough, mocha. This was the 1st teaser that I ever made, so I still had much to learn. I have since abandoned the assumption that gender can be inferred based upon first names.
Nice puzzle. I only joined Braingle 2 days ago -- found it looking for a way to do logic puzzles online -- and have decided that Cabaret's puzzles are definitely my favorites!
Just wanted to say "way to go!" for your first puzzle, I think it's one of the best I've run into, Thanks!!
Thank you so very much Chris and Obilio!
