Nice job!
great job , i mssed as ,and i'm sure how mane relates to male . but overall lots of fun.
Gee, Kazozz, it's "man," not "mane."
And, shame on me, it's Kaaozz, not Kazozz.

That was fun. I rather liked another word I found in masculine...mule...
Cool!
What fun!
And Kaaozz, mane should be included, AS only MALE lions have them.

NICE1!!!
Very nice teaser, made me think.
What fun! I didn't get the first one and I could fin just "man" in the last one. I like teasers that make me think , but are easy enough to have some success. I like the concept. Good job!
The puzzle really made me think ...................

Nice teaser Marc. Thanks for posting.
Loved it . Missed stun somehow
A fun teaser,but I couldn't get AS.
I thought the damsel one was "Ms"
I guess my brain was on 'tilt' this a.m. Didn't get any of them.
Although I felt it was too easy to be correct - I went for "cause" for #1. Might this be another twin? Fun!
To maintain that "as" is a synonym for "because" seems a bit of a stretch to me, though I can think of constructions in which i"as" seems equivalent to "because". But in the main, if I ask you, for instance, why thus and such has happened, your answer is not likely to start with the word "as".
I got them all- Very nice quiz. As to the comments related to whether mane is male or female - "mane" can refer to any long or thick hair, so that cute, blond girl with the long hair has a mane (probably a very attractive one!)
Well written and contrived, however one was a bit of a stretch, and no mention of other possibilities!
I'm glad others didn't like the as/because one, because I thought it was a bit of a stretch. However, now that I wrote that sentence, I realize that I could have substituted 'as' for 'because', so it totally works! Wow, that was a complete 180 within about 20 seconds.
I can now say great teaser!

Fun, entertaining and fairly easy quiz. I also missed #1 and got "cause". I got all of the others very quickly.
This is wonderful. I doubt I could come up with other Kangaroo Words. #1 was the hardest. I refused to settle for 'cause, since it's just a contraction of because. I had to search for a while before I saw little "as" hiding in there.
I could not find the kangaroo word in "because", and even after seeing the answer, "as", it was only upon reflection that I could thing of constructions in which it has that meaning. For example, "As I am not hungry, I'm not eating, or "As you're a jerk, I don't want to be your friend." Otherwise this Teaser was fairly straight-forward.
