Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.

I'm as small as an ant, as big as a whale.
I'll approach like a breeze, but can come like a gale.
By some I get hit, but all have shown fear.
I'll dance to the music, though I can't hear.
Of names I have many, of names I have one.
I'm as slow as a snail, but from me you can't run.

What am I?

very good. I was sure it was a hurricane. The only ones that don't work are the small and big. Maybe on a weather channel map it could be slow as a snail though.

This one was good...the first one on this list (working from 962 forwards) that I have never heard before.

I thought it was death... which is as big as the thing that dies because it is simply its absence, right? The gap it leaves behind?

Yay! A riddle teaser that is actually a proper riddle! (dont mind me and my thinking that a riddle ought to rhyme... but it really should it makes it more interesting.)

Not a bad presentation, but I am so sick of riddles about "shadow!" This must be the tenth one I've seen on Braingle!
