Something's wrong: with the correct answers, each block on the grid has a diagonal from top left to bottom right, which makes clue #9 wrong. Also, clue #7 is not necessary; it's not even a clue.
#7 is required to introduce the cat as the 4th pet. i dont quite understand the other statement tho...
I agree with tomsdiy.
That clue has no relevancy what so ever.

We didn't need the info about who stopped over to see whom...
The 7th clue was for people who don't use the grid provided. (maybe their comp won't let them?)
and tomsidy or whatever, you just have your answer wrong.

easy, but isn't a goldfish much smaller than a rat?
twewg, Thanks. Now I understand. I too thought the "really tiny pet" was the goldfish. In the USA a rat is not much smaller than a cat and a goldfish would be a meal for the cat. Also if the rat is big enough to make the cat "agreeable" when it visits, the rat can't be a "really tiny pet" (clue 3). With goldfish as the tiny pet, you'll understand my initial comment above.
The reason I said in my initial comment that clue #7 was unnecessary was because I assumed that teasers listed under "logic-grid" were designed to be used with the logic-grid, otherwise they would be listed under "logic" only, as many are. Maybe I'm using too much logic!
I too thought the really tiny pet was the goldfish, but when I excluded just the dog and cat everything else fell into place. Thanks, this was a good one.
A little easy and I'm glad I didn't assume that the goldfish was the "tiny pet". It would have been all wrong. Overall, a so-so teaser. A little too easy and unnecessary clues that could have been eliminated in the introduction.
ignored clue 3 and 7 and still everything solved fine
