When you curtail a word, you remove the last letter and still have a valid word. You will be given clues for the two words, longer word first.
Example: Begin -> Heavenly body
Answer: The words are Start and Star.

3. Large stringed instrument -> Small room; prison
4. Vote against; forbid -> Pet doctor

wordmama Apr 08, 2010	I had completely forgotten that O was the last letter in all of them--I just knew that I was dropping a letter!! Got them all with zero problem. but as you can tell by my moniker, this kind of teaser is my thing!

HABS2933 Apr 08, 2013	For some reason I was unable to come up with cameo/came until I looked at the hint (duh). The rest came easily. Though some of them are easy I enjoy the behead and curtail series.
