Bloody Ketchup
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.
I was looking for the ketchup one morning, because Mom had got groceries last night, and suddenly my step sisters, Helen and Marie, came in. Marie was holding Helen up. Marie said, "Helen got hit by a bus! Now she has amnesia and she thinks she is a dog!"
"Woof! Woof!" Helen said. She was covered in red (blood) and had bandages over her head. "That's a sick joke," I said.
What did I mean?
HintRemember, there is no ketchup and the blood is red.

Answer
I meant that Helen and Marie were playing a joke. There was no ketchup, which means they used it as "blood". Also, you don't act like a dog when you have amnesia.

| Just because the ketchup is missing and stuff, doesn't mean that they were playing a joke, so the real answer would be, "you don't act like a dog when you get amnesia". |

| That was stupid. I was obvious that the ketchup was being used as blood. If she has really been hit by a bus, she would be in an ambulance. |

| Actually, I go to Enfield Elementary School and I am only in grade 5. I'm also only 10 yrs old.
And here's a clue to you people who said it was easy. If you're not blind, read the difficulty level! I'm only in grade 5 and frankly I don't care how many times you heard it. I read it in a book and I thought it was good so I put it in here. So next time, I don't even want to hear your comments if they are rude, thank you.
PS: How old are you cleverclogs? And thank you very much for your positive comment, it is one of the first I've had on one of my easy teasers. |

| A good teaser and one worthy of sharing, but if you know who wrote it (which I assume you do since it's from a book) then you should give credit to the author. |

| I liked the general idea of it, but I'm not sure why it was such a sick joke. Seemed like there were a few different things trying to go on the teaser, but you weren't sure what you were doing with them.
It was a good try though! |
