I have listed the following as Happy Words. What is it about these words that suggests that they are "Happy"?
Semicircle
Mesdemoiselles
Postmillennial
Assimilate
Snowmobile
Superfamilies
There are two hints. The second might give it away too easily so it is a few lines down the page!

A good cheerful teaser that I like a lot. And I did get it after the second hint.
it made me smile! i don't think I would have gotten it without the first hint though. Once I read that, I got it
Great! It's good to focus on cheerful things, and
Miles of smiles! Great teaser! And you were right, the second clue does kind of give it away.
Nice! I got it without the hints and it made me smile. Clever and very nice of you to focus on the positive!
the smiles just popped out at me ! nice job
Nice teaser!
Interesting, because I would never have associated the words. Made me smile too! Thanks!

Haha, I did not get it even with the second hint, but it was a cool, and nice idea
Great teaser!
grumble grumble grumble grumble
Really great teaser, but I needed the second hint. Good job.
I got it right away without the hints. When I saw the "ile" on the end of smowmobile I immediately thought, "I wonder if the word smile is in every word?" This teaser made me smile!
You spelled smile in the hint wrong. You put simile.
I think that was intentional. It says "one" of the shortest happy words. Why would you give the answer away in the hint?
totally my kind of puzzle! So I got it right away. Loved it!
After discovering the word "smile" I started looking for other emotional words that meant happiness. But look at what happens. Smile is in all the Answers...
I did not get it and that does not make me smile. Thanks for the good effort.
It was a happy thing
you spelled smile wrong.
Twains, it's supposed to be simile. The hint wasn't meant to give you the answer.
Glad this is still a happy teaser!
But I'm a bit at the moment - someone has made a "correction" without consulting me. The HINT is NOT supposed to be the word itself, as several of our more astute Brainglers have noted. The hint says ONE OF the shortest, not THE shortest! It should be SIMILE - I'll ask for that to be returned!
Keep up the good work and Fun Levels, everyone.

I must be getting smarter with age as I got it this time with only the first clue. You had to get it with the second one as it spelled it out for you. If you did not....Hmmmmm!
I liked this puzzle and noticed the word "smile" in one of the words, and then found the others. Thanks for posting a good one.
Nice ezy fun teaser; didn't need a hint, thanks!
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser. I got this one very quickly without needing any hints.
