Brain Teasers
Number Pyramid 1
This teaser is a mixture of logic and math. In a number pyramid, the numbers 0-9 are each used once and formed into a pyramid, with one digit at the top, and right below it two digits, below those three digits, and below those four, all arranged in pyramid form.
In this puzzle, you will follow the clues given, and using these clues, create a number pyramid. There is only one answer.
Clues:
1. The four numbers on the bottom row add up to 28.
2. The highest number in row 3 is in the middle, or in the second out of third position.
3. The third number from the left in the bottom row isn't 7.
4. The rightmost numbers in each row, or the numbers on the right side going down, add up to 11.
5. The numbers 0 and 5 are in different rows.
6. The apex of the pyramid, or the top number, minus the leftmost number in row 2, equals 4.
7. The leftmost numbers in the four rows, or the left hand side going down, add up to 20.

That was difficult. I got it in the end, but I know I put an hour behind it. Great teaser!
Hahaha almost got me, but the fact that only four of those numbers could equal 28 while staying consistent with the diagonal additions was a dead giveaway to the rest of the numbers.
Very fun though.
Very fun though.
I solved it, and without the hint! Took me about a half hour. I am so dang proud of myself right now!
I didn't pay attention to clue 6. I thought the number in row 2 was bigger than the apex and I found 5 possible answers lol. Then after I read the hint, I realized my mistake.
Anyway it was fun.
Anyway it was fun.
Bottom row has to be 9874 or 9865 in some order to add to 28. Right side has to have both corners at least 4 - apex because of the subtraction, bottom right because it has to be part of the bottom combination. So the only possibilities for the right side are 6410 or 5420, again in unknown order. Because 0 is part of both of these, it can't be part of the left side, so 4 can't be the apex and must be the bottom right, forcing the bottom row to be (987)4 in some order, and the apex to be either 6 with 2 at the start of the second row or 5 with 1 at the start of the second row. The rest is figuring out the remaining possibilities from there.
