Good one
I must be really daft because I still don't get it. Is 'issues' supposed to sound like 'tennis shoes'?

Man, you must have some issues
"ten issues" sounds like rtennis shoes, not "issues"! good one
made me smile

mogmatt, try to live up to the phrase, "live and let live".

funny, I liked this one
That made my morning. Thanks!
Mixee.
Mixee.
I thought it would be something dull like many issues, but I was pleasantly suprised great teaser gets my thumbs up.
mogmatt - why are you so negative? you're the only one that didn't say anything positive, just like you are on a lot of teasers. Great teaser BTW!
I got it right away. Good one.
I thought it was tissues at first then I read the hint and got it. Very good.
even after reading the hint, I still didn't get it. Good One.
I only joined tonight. Love the site.

I like it! My first thought was "Someone has a lot of issues"
Good one!!

Cute Clever Fun Good job!
seems like YOU have too many issues WOW!!!
Haha! I liked it...but i kept saying to myself, "Ten issues? I don't get it..."
At first, I was thinking at simply shoes. It was a good one. Great job!!
I thought that it was tissues. You sure got me on that one. Good job!
Really stumped me!
LOL
shhh
shhh
cute, clever, to the point. Very good job!
Hoo Yahhhhhhhhh ... people here have issues, all right.
It was awfully easy for me, but I think it depends on your frame of mind when you first see it. Also - your frame of reference. Not everyone in the U.S. calls them tennis shoes, right? Sneakers...Gym shoes... ?

This is great. I kept saying to myself, "ten issues". Never figured it out. Good one!
Yup, thought it was issues upon issues, but I like tennis shoes better. Good one.
that was a good one
good one not too difficult
very funny I got it without looking at the hint. It was easy but I like it. 10 issues!!!

Sep 07, 2005
this one took me a minute, but it wasn't very funny
I actually new that one.
Awsome. One of the best of these I've seen.
Well, it sounds like people are pretty divided on this one! I think it's hilarious how some things polarize people so fiercely like that.
Of course, for those of you who didn't like it, you make it very difficult for me to defend negative comments in the comments section if you don't give any good reasons for not liking it. I'm not a fan of every single teaser on here either, but I don't insult anyone who posts them on here. Some of you guys are just mean, and that sucks!
Anyway, I liked it. I admit, I needed the hint, but I did figure it out. Good job!

I got it! How did you think of it?
very good!
i got 10, but i didnt put it together as tennis shoes. its cute
For some reason, I found this rebus very unflattering to its submitter. Didn't like it at all
I GOT IT! LOVED IT!
nice one....toook me a second
Clever!!
I'm no dummy, but I haven't had a lot of luck with rebuses so far. I really liked this one. I didn't get it at first sight, but didn't use a hint either, I just counted the "issues" and said it a few times in my head and said Yeah I got one. Thanks for the smile.
AWW, THAT WAS HARD! well, better luck next time for me. nice teaser btw.
I thought the submitter had a "pile of issues" and I even counted ten of them! I felt that this was a pretty lame teaser..... Until I read the answer! GREAT REBUS! I had a mini streak going of 10 days w/o missing one, and got tripped up on this one. Great job. Thanks! Oh well, tomorrow's another Braingle day.
E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T!!!!!!! Very clever.
I thought this was cute, and very clever. Oh yes, I got it!!
got this one right after the hint ,good one thankyou
Darn! I didn't read the hint! I always overlook the hint. I counted the issues, I said in my there are ten issues, there's a pile of issues, a column of issues, pressing issues, deep issues, personal issues, ..., you get it...
That was really GREAT! That's one of the best rebus teasers ever, it seems so simple after ya know the answer. Makes me say "Wait, wait!!!!! If I go back I can get it this time, really! Just one more chance!
Thanks!

Thanks!
I decided not to count them! Dum-de-dum-dum!
good one !!
That was clever. Couldn't get it w/o the hint.
Groan! I've got to remember it to tell my friend who loves puns. He'll love this one!
I should have read the hint. I just figured it was something like many issues or the issues are piling up or some such thing. Figured it was pretty lame, then I read the answer. Doh!
Very clever! And here I was doing so well, getting them every day. After reading the answer, I could kick myself for not getting it. Gotta love those kind of teasers, they truly live up to the name teaser!

I thought it was issues on top of issues as well until I read the hint and then I got it. That's a good one. I love it.
I liked this one. I actually got it w/o looking at the hint. !
Yayy! i got it without the hint! Good One.
Totally Awesome teaser If you ever get that repeating feeling in your mind, this one can do it. Simple as can be, if you stay with it. Enjoyed it. WTG
Hey i thought it was a good teaser I got it without looking at the hint I think some of these people are being too hard on the submitter if you dont like it thats fine but dontget all negative this is supposed to be fun
Good one!

coooo'man reeeeeeal cooooo'
Easy but loads of fun!
i really liked it gr8 teaser
pretty easy, but I'd seen it before. Don't you have to report that your teasers arn't original so you're not taking credit for someone else's idea? not that I'm criticizing, I just want to know.
I GOT IT!!!!!!
IT JUST TOOK ME A MINUTE OR SO!!!!!
COOL!!!!
IT JUST TOOK ME A MINUTE OR SO!!!!!
COOL!!!!
lmao... my friend tells me all the time i have "tennis shoes", but she means it as ten issues... thats how i am tho...
what what what what what what what what what what.......... i don't even know what a rebus is so i'm a dumb blonde rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![blondegoinggrey] a very stupendice great wonderful teaser. keep up the good work!!!!!!!!
will someone PLESSE tell me whay a rebus is?
First I thought it was tenacious, but then felt tennis shoes was a better choice. Good teaser. I liked it a lot (moe so because I got it right too, without the hint)!
at firs i thought someone needed tissues but i eventually worked it out!
very nice!
I second that:
I wish I remembered to cover up the answer on the screen until I clicked on the Hint link, because with the hint, I might've had a chance... but because it's a rebus, I gave up before I started thinking it (but not before I counted ten issues and even said it out loud).
The answer made me go "Doh!" Good one.

i got it too easy
great!
Funny! Got it after the hint. It's like that game, "Mad Gab" where things written one way SOUND totally different when spoken.
My name is Robyn. My mom once asked my husband if he wanted a toasted bun or a regular bun with his hamburger (we were barbecuing) and he said, "I'll take a raw bun." I yelled out, "You already HAVE a raw bun! Get it?? Rawbun! ROBYN!" As I laughed hysterically, they all looked at me like I was nuts.... I put it on my license plate.

I can't believe how quickly I got this! As soon as I saw the list of "issues." I counted them immediately, then said Ten, Issues. Then quickly, and ta da! I got it!
I must be conditioning my brain to think correctly when doing these! Perhaps I'll stay sharp long into old age if I keep this up!
Thanks for this!

That created no labor on labor day!!!
Best Rebus in a long time. I too went to the trouble of counting the issues and still didn't get it, yet ti wa so simple if you just said it aloud. GREAT JOB.
NICE1!!!
I dont get it...
Interpreter2. Same for me.
Easy and fun! I laughed out loud when I said, "Ten Issues. TENNIS SHOES!!"
Easy and fun! I laughed out loud when I said, "Ten Issues. TENNIS SHOES!!"
Great teaser. I didn't get it! Lol! Can't wait to see more!
By I didn't get it I meant I couldn't figure it out Lol!
Duh...I counted too but still didn't figure it out. Good one!
I DIDNT GET IT. IT MADE ME CRY AND I NEEDED TISSUES
nice wordle.
Really cute, and not too easy. The hint didn't help me at all til I got the answer, then it made sense to me.
Easy but interestingly fun.
It just took a bit of thinking, but I figured it out and thought it was really cute, and clever, and fun!!
TENnis shoes and ELEVEN years of the same teaser.SHAME SHAME SHAME
loved having a laugh out loud moment before work! I don't care if I've seen it before-I don't hang on to the info!
Good for you, Maggie! I loved it too and really laughed! And, Cutebug, you could be cuter!
Nice one! I counted them. I said "ten issues" in my mind and still came up with "issues piling up" instead.
Nice to find a new one of these.
Nice to find a new one of these.
How about "issue" instead of "issues"? Or "eschew".
I may have gotten it if I would have thought about it longer. Oh well
Since I got it, I think its great.
Since I got it, I think its great.
Does anyone here have any issues? Or even tennis shoes?
I dont get it...
I dont get it...
I am rather glad that "cute bug" is no longer on this site as he or she never has a nice thing to say about any of them or else they are all too easy. I sometimes say something, but not constantly. Lately I have tried harder to be a good player. Oh well, to each his own and it does say to make a comment, not just make a good comment.
Fun, cute and easy. Perfect start for my day!!
Thank you for the wonderful comment about me. But please stick to commenting about the teaser. Now, you have a beautiful day.
Got it
excellent
Fun. Simple.
Very entertaining teaser! I got it with the hint.
Again ..... a near-perfect Rebus (old style, of course ... see more below)
'Near perfect' because it's both 'text' and 'visual'. It's also 'flexible'.
'Textual' because it deals with a single word - no other word or words or other literal information.
'Visual' because the word ('issue' or 'issues', doesn't matter) appears (to the eye) repeated a number of times. This 'visual' aspect of it gives it - in addition to the 'literal' aspect - a 'figurative' aspect.
The figurative aspect is what leads us directly to the answer; 'ten(issue(s))' or .... 'tennis shoes'.
A well-constructed Rebus will have both (or, strongly either one) a 'visual' or 'figurative' aspect.
This 'understanding' of Rebuses is what enables the adept puzzler to solve them.
Without it, the viewer is - unfortunately - doomed to the 'DUHHHHHH .... ' mode.
Too many of the Language Judges of Braingle (e.g. 'Editors') are, we feel, still operating in this DUHHHH mode concerning Rebuses.
This Rebus would be 'illegal', for example, under new FAQ rules (look 'em up) which eschew (look it up) Rebuses that are reflective of 'objects' or 'things' only.
Some of the Language Judges of Braingle (e.g. 'Editors') are also seemingly unable to deal with the concept of 'figurative' as a strong clue to the solution of a Rebus.
They would - probably - have rejected this one (under contemporary Editorial policy) as being simply "a list of words leading nowhere" or, (even the less helpful) "body does not lead to solution".
This Rebus idea ('Tennis Shoes') is also quite flexible in concept. It could have been, for example, shown as "issue x (100/10)" or some other suggestive construct.
Braingle is dying. Apparently, not enough of us care about that. BB02 (bro Jay) and I feel we need a new way to 'judge' the value of submitted teasers.
Maybe the current Editorial System needs to be abandoned or modified.
If you want to talk about this, pleas PM us.
Thank you for reading.

any way to read the hint on my cell BEFORE the answer? I don't know why it has always defaulted to the answer being shown first...maybe I'm supposed to try harder! I love a good rebus!
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser; I got it very quickly and did not need the hint this time as I did in 2015.
