One could also say that American Football does not belong since it is the only sport in the group that does not involve the use of handheld equipment. Interesting teaser. Thanks for submitting.
Darn! I tried to come up with sports that could only be excluded for one reason.
uf you want to be technical, the ball could be looked at as a piece of "hand held equipment" can't really play without the ball.

Same problem here as your "Conflicting Countries" (Teaser 5105.
Golf could be "out" for a variety of reasons;
01. Shortest word (four letters).
02. Only word without double letters (oo, nn, ss).
03. Heaviest ball per size (mass v. volume).
04. Reverse this and "Football" could be out (only word with two sets double letters).
I'm sure there are others, here, if I wanted to waste my time finding them.
Same deal as your 51058 - if you want to do the right thing and submit corrections for these.
What kind of "in" do you have with the Eds to submit stuff like this?

LittleGreenMan (or whoever you are), you do not need to be rude or condescending when leaving comments on teasers. It is insulting to both the Editors and the teaser submitter when you imply that there is some form of "in" between the submitter and the Editors. These type of comments only enforce your username of "LittleGreenMan".
I suggest that the category for this teaser be changed from "Group" to "Trivia".
Interesting puzzle. I think these must be difficult to construct.
Your number 4 grouping doesn't really track either... a 'club' is in essence, a stick, and a golf club is kind of needed for golf, last I checked...
