Brain Teasers
Unseated Man
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
A man goes in to a theater to watch the opera. He finds that a man is sprawled over many chairs (including the man's chair). The man says, "Excuse me, please get off my chair." The other man just groans. Again he asks, "Sir, if you don't get off my chair I'm afraid I'll have to call the manager." Again the man groans. A couple minutes later, the man along with the manager and two security guards, go to the area where the man was sprawled. The manager asks, "Sir, may I see the ticket of where you sit?" The man couldn't do anything, just point upward and grumble, "t-t-he bal-co--n-n..." At that moment the man faints and is taken to the hospital. Where did the man come from and why was he sprawled on the chairs?
Answer
The man noted "the balcon." Since he fainted, he couldn't finish saying "the balcony." He fell from the balcony and he was sprawled on the chairs.Hide Answer Show Answer

is it just me or is this teaser truly pathetic?

It wasn't stellar, or difficult, but I don't think I want to get in the habit of calling anyone's effort to entertain other people on their own free time "pathetic". Not all of yours are winners there, kebab-boy.
Give the guy a break, he tried.

Let me guess, you made it up.
ummm...I'm not trying to be mean...but there's no real brain teaser in that one...it's just plain common sence.
HA HA. U GUYS ARE FUNNY.
It doesn't suck! It's just easy.
EZ
No offense, or anything, but...ah...duh. I aplaud your efforts though.
You leave off the letter "y" from the word balcony and, miraculously, think that there is actually a mystery here?
Extrammi, I agree with you. But at least the submitter tried.
Way to easy come on duh balcon where else!
Pretty Easy! I thought someone threw him!
It would have been a little harder if the word balcony was never said
This was painful to read with all the grammar errors.
Yeah, like everyone said, this isn't even a teaser.
If you take out the grumble and just have him point up, then it might qualify. Seriously, try it out.

Who were the people who edited this? And the man must have been demented, because there's a groaning man in his seat and all he can think about is calling the manager? I would have called the ambulance, if I were the man. You could also try giving names to the characters, and leaving out the balcon part.
that's idiotic
That is why I HATE sitting in the front row of the balcony.
Some commenters are too harsh. This is an old joke, which the creator has tried to turn into a puzzle - there are quite a few good puzzles which are like that. This one just gives away too much at the end - perhaps you could cut out the whole of the man's reply. It needs improvement but there is no need to be negative.
