U lost me. Please explain

Its a phrase used when someone is really up front and in your face you'd say that they're not "backwards in coming forwards" or that they'd reluctantly take a backwards step. The word wards is written twice backwards in the words coming forwards. Hope this is of some help.

I believe the saying is "Not backward in coming forward". It is always used in the negative and there are no plurals.
