| the only thing is 'at wits end' which would be s...but if you get every other letter it makes sense...

| Nice teaser - ii liked it - but u need to put at wit en - not wit's - as the end of wit's is an s - t great teser well done!! |

| For those complaining about "at wit's end":
It is written just fine. if someone said "What are the letters in Scott's name?" you would say "S-C-O-T-T"
Likewise, "wit's end" is the same as saying "end of wit" which, coincdentally is "T" |

| I figured it was a run-on sentence and left it at that. |

| Great teaser, tough enough, it should be obscure or some would complain too easy. Dumbbell wrote it? |

| Best one I've seen for a while. I wouldn't have got it in a million years, was on the wrong tack.
Nice one! |

| This is a really good teaser, must have taken a lot of thought to get it just right. Dumbell is no dumbell when it comes to making up language teasers. I'd like to see more of these. |

| I love knowing that the only people that gripe about this teaser are most likely the folks that could not solve it! I couldn't either! It was very clever though! Thanks for the challenge! |

| I am the Dumbell on this one! It was BRILLIANT! Never even came close & really tried. This is one of the best I've personally seen. LOVED IT. Didn't get it
By the way (I saw no errrors!)
GREAT JOB. |

What else could you ask for. I
realize now that I'm not as quick
as him and his comments are just candid!
Again Good 4U Dumbell |

| Wow! This teaser was incredibly clever Once explained, it was pure delight in it's simplicity. Great job Dumbell (or Smartbell) |

| it was ok i didnt really get it but.. it was really good once i saw the answer good one!! |

Aug 11, 2007
| I was totally off base on this one. I was breaking apart the sentence all wrong. Great teaser, although I too thought the at wit's end was a bit weaker than the rest of the teaser |

Aug 11, 2007
| Most often I'm looking for meaning or comprehension of the words in the teaser. These phrases all had to do with "positions". I should have have known to go one step further with the teaser difficulty marker showing exceptional difficulty. NICE! |

Aug 11, 2007
| Once I new what the answer was, I knew how to figure it out. That is to say, I got it wrong
But it was a very good teaser. Don't pay any attention to the ones that complain hon. At least you are posting teasers. Thanks again.

| I wish I had gotten the point of the positions; I would have enjoyed figuring it out! I hope I get another chance to do a similar one some time!! |

| oh, beautiful. very, very nicely done. forget the gripers. i completely didn't get it. and then i saw the answer and was like "wow. that's smart." you should change your name. but. one little point: "beginning of the end". i thought that the beginning of the end was the beginning of "the end", and therefore "T" not "E".
i still loved it. |

| Great teaser. I didn't figure it out even with the hint. After looking at the answer I smiled. If I can't figure out a teaser in 24 hours, or get it wrong I rate it "hard." like this one. Still loved it. |

| Very, Very good! |
BikerDank
Aug 13, 2007
| Wow, waaaay too much thinking required for this one! Reminds me of passing notes in high school in a code only you and your friends could figure out.
 |
speedqueenkmw
Aug 14, 2007
| I agree with BikerDank-seems you couldn't solve this without knowing some sort of code. Never saw this type before so maybe I'll do better next time. |

| AWOR. I still don't like this one, I thought it was poorly written and very confusing. |
phyllisa
Nov 07, 2011
| Great teaser, isn't this called an anagram? |
wordmama
Nov 07, 2011
| I don't believe so, phyllisa; anagrams are simply words that, when their letters are rearranged, spell another word i.e. star, rats; part, trap; era, ear, are; eat, ate, tea; etc. Am I right, guys? |
Chobuck
Nov 07, 2011
| Way too obscure, especially for a Monday. |

Nov 07, 2011
| I didn't get it at all. Even the hint didn't help me this time. |
MikeG
Nov 07, 2011
| Whoa. That was cool. I was thinking it might be "Time", since each of the distinct phrases included words like midday, second, beginning, early, end... Not quite, I guess. |
