The amount you spent on each group of items must have been
divisible by 4 (assuming all prices are an exact number of pence).
So, for example, the amount you spent on postcards should be a multiple of
88, and hence a multiple of 4. Since each subtotal is a multiple
of 4, the total should be also - but it isn't.

Ok, this one was kind of easy.
That is "ASSUMING" all prices are an exact number of pence. But its not explicitly written in the teaser. So problems may arise if let say, 4 postcards cost 7 pence.
