Series teasers are where you try to complete the sequence of a series of letters, numbers or objects.
What comes next in this series:
Meno
Vowt
Eeerht
Mruof
Jevif
Sxis
Uneves
Nthgie
_____?
Answer
Penin.
Each word starts with the first letter of a planet, in order from the sun, and has the rank of distance from the sun spelled backwards added on.
For example, Jevif = Jupiter, five. So the answer is Penin, which stands for Pluto, nine.

| Veryt good. I know it is a series puzzle, but it's really 1/2 series (the easy half) and 1/2 science (the hard half). |

| Very nice! i didn't get it at all Although two things are wrong with it. One: Pluto is no longer a planet
Two: Neptune sometimes crosses paths with Pluto so Neptune is sometimes the last planet.
But hey, what where you going to do? have N enin/thgie |

| Works on the backwards number. However, Pluto is no longer considered a planet. |

| To me, Pluto will ALWAYS be a planet. As was pointed out elsewhere on this site, a dwarf planet is still a planet. |

Some people got it so not a bad teaser I guess. |

| doehead, you shouldn't be so negative. Just because you didn't get it doesn't make it stupid. |

| Ditto, Kwel.
I was shocked at all the people who saw the numbers easily but not the planets! For me, it was exactly the opposite; I saw the planets immediately but couldn't see the numbers!! I think I was distracted by the title; as you may infer from my 'handle' I've studied some language and linguistics in my time. I was looking for patterns in the letters being used; reading backwards never occurred to me!!! |

| I saw the planets immediately, so I knew it started with a P, then I looked at the numbers. I first saw six, then five, then I knew it was Penin. Nice one. |
