## The River Ave Friends

Logic puzzles require you to think. You will have to be logical in your reasoning.

Puzzle ID: #35136 Fun: (2.86) Difficulty: (1.98) Category: Logic Submitted By: scallio

Six friends live in six houses along River Avenue that runs East/West. Can you determine the color of each friend's house and in which order they are located from West to East?

House colors: gray, white, blue, red, brown, yellow
Friends: Lily, Doreen, Kayla, Brian, Dirk, Tom
(These first three friends are girls and the last three boys.)

1. Dirk lives in the house farthest to the East.

2. Neither the brown or white house is at either end.

3. Lily lives west of Doreen, Tom and Brian.

4. The red house is located at the far West end.

5. Girls live in both of the houses located in the center of the avenue.

6. Boys live in the white and yellow houses but a girl lives in the brown.

7. The gray house is just west of the brown house, which is just west of the yellow house.

8. Kayla has just two friends that live east of her; Dirk and Brian.

9. The white house is located toward the west end of the avenue.

(user deleted) Feb 01, 2007 Good one...took 2 iterations and then just process of elimination. vlerma Feb 01, 2007 Yeah, I got it right. Nice job, both you and me! pookiekat Feb 01, 2007 Nice job! I didn't need the last clue. Jishter Feb 03, 2007 I liked this, but you gave a lot more info than needed if you ever want to make a harder one. (user deleted) Feb 09, 2007 Lots of fun! I too managed to solve it without the last clue, since everything fell neatly into place with Clue #8. amn0856 Feb 09, 2007 because there were so many clues I confused myself a little bit with excess information... but in the end I got it and it was a LOT of fun! Good Teaser! SmartyCat Feb 10, 2007 All I have to say is. Bravo! *claps* shopaholic Mar 07, 2007 HUH??? shopaholic Mar 07, 2007 y didnt this go into logic grid instead of plain logic????????? scallio Mar 08, 2007 Shopaholic- It's not in the Logic Grid category because it won't fit a grid. In order to solve this, one must draw a line with East at one end and West at the other. Put six dots on the line to represent houses, and below each dot, write in the clues you know about each. locomom Mar 13, 2007 Good one, Scallio. Thanks! Nicky101 Mar 26, 2007 Lovely. Not too hard, but not too easy at the same time .
