Whew! Miss Appleday has been teaching first grade for a month, and is starting to get the hang of things. She's been doing such a good job with bus dismissal that the principal, Mr. Office, has asked her to help out with the after-school clubs and activities.
The school day is done, and five first graders are starting new activities today. Can you help Miss Appleday keep her attendance roster organized? She needs to know each student's first and last name, each student's chosen activity, and how each student is getting home today. She also needs to remember who goes to the school's aftercare program instead of going home after the activities are done.
First names: Chloe, David, Iris, Joe, Nikolas
Last Names: Beresford, Hastings, Plum, Watson
Activities: Brownies meeting, Drama Club, Hands on Science, Piano Class, Spanish Club
Getting Home: Aftercare, Blue Bus, Brown Bus, Minivan, Walking
1. The twins usually both ride the bus home, but David's mom picked him up from his activity twenty minutes early to drive him to his dentist appointment. David's sister took the bus as usual.
2. The child studying Spanish practiced his vocabulary afterwards on the Blue Bus.
3. Niko Plum is shy and does not take Drama; Miss Beresford is in Hands On Science.
4. Mr. Watson is completely tone deaf. Happily, he has no interest in music whatsoever.
5. Iris H. walked to her grandmother's house after her activity.
6. The student taking piano played a very good five-note scale at the end of class.

There needed tyo be a few more clues, but otherwise a satisfying teaser.
it was rather tricky that the last clue seemed useless but actually helped.
I thought this was a well thought out puzzle, with several indirect clues. Thanks and a good job.
Had to dabble a bit in psychology--evidently not a strong point, Nice one!
It was a good Logic-Grid, tricky at first, but then everything fell into place. Thank you.
Great teaser.. but can someone explain how the last clue helped? Thanks!
Great Job!!!!
Great Job!!!!
I'm glad folks are enjoying the teaser! WOOT! I'm on a roll...
cheeny, I'll PM you about the last clue. I don't wanna give it away here. Cheers all!

I found myself having to assume that Brownies is a girls only club. Apparently I was correct since my answers were correct. I wonder how many others will know what Brownies is... maybe I'm the only one in the dark!
Fun teaser!
Fun teaser!
FUNN
Hee...as a matter of fact, I was concerned about that, scallio, so I put that in the hint. Guess it doesn't help you if you don't read the hint, though. Oh, well.
Holy Crap ... shoulda had one more cup o' joe before I started this bad bear! Very nicely written!
Great fun ! Very cleverly constructed ! but, as a Canadian, I thought the brownies were made of fudge... Fudge !
impossible without the hint! well-written!
Wonderful sneaky puzzle. I'm an american, was in the Brownies myself, and *I* also thought the activity was "baking"! Had to use the hint! Even then, I was stumped until I reread the last clue & figured out that it *did* mean something after all!
I didn't even finish it before I showed myself the answer. I got confused a few times.
Cool interesting teaser!
I thought your teaser was well written and clever. I had no problem with any of the clues. It was put together wellin my opinion. Thanks for a few minutes of brainwork and fun!
this was a realy good challenge...i enjoyed it
I wasn't able to finish it.
Loved the "twins" thing! It made the teaser really interesting. Not too hard and lots of fun =)
What does the last clue have to do with anything?
Fun! Trickier than it looks at first glance.
Fun teaser, thanks! One comment- I wouldn't expect many guys to know that "Brownies" are an An American Jr. Girl Scouts club.
Clue #5 is important, because it means David doesn't do piano.
oops, that should be clue #6, or the last clue.
