8. Vocalist -> Scorch; burn superficially

Hint

Enjoyed it. Just what I needed to start the day -- the teaser and two cups of java. #4 and #5 made me think a bit, but the rest was pretty easy. I don't mind easy now and then at all. It still stretches my brain some.

Needed the hint to get #4, but got them all! While the premise might be easy, I still had to think a tiny bit, which is perfect for first thing in the morning! This was actually pretty perfect!

Shows how much before coffee it is--I hate being redundant, and I used perfect twice in a row. Obviously, I myself am not perfect!

To hubbamutt777 you are supposed to take off the letter at the end of the first word and then you get the second word, for example, tear, you take off the r and you have a beverage, tea. Hope that helps!
