East meets West
As far east as east...
As far west as west...
If north is the future
What name fits me best?
As far west as west...
If north is the future
What name fits me best?
Hint
Discover the last frontier......well, assuming you're an American, anyway.
Answer
Alaska.Alaska has the western-most point in the U.S. (Little Diomede Island), AND the eastern-most point in the United States (Semisopochnoi Island in the Aleutians) This is possible because Alaska straddles the international date line.
Alaska's State motto is: North to the future.

Thought it might be the equator...until I read your hint. It's where I'm from.
I liked it. It made me think of a minute, but I got it in the end. Hope to get to visit Alaska someday.
Wow. Great teasers. Loved it!
The explanation for this answer is incorrect. The International Date Line does not pass through any country. However, Alaska does cross the 180 degree longitude which does cause it to be both the furthest east and west. However the date does not change when you cross the 180. Check a map or globe and you will see what I mean. Good Teaser though!
how would anyone know??
East and west don't change depending on where you are at. What is East for one may be west for another. Just because it crosses over some line doesn't mean you aren't going west anymore. I'm not usually critical, but I think this one should have stayed at home.
Heehee, cute teaser.
Good One!
What is most eastern or western depends on one's point of view about what east and west really mean. But your Alaskan points would be correct. Good teaser.

Last I heard, there's humans on the planet earth that aren't American.
