Answer

A caterpillar has no wings, but will fly when it matures and becomes a butterfly.
( I know, I know...a caterpillar is a bug :) )

I was having real problems coming to terms with a catterpillar being classed as an insect. But after extensive research (a quick google check) apparently, as the young of a moth or butterfly it is classified as such. ~ You learn something new every day

you could also say a spider (even though technically it is not an insect.) when they are young, some species will deploy an 'air balloon' of silk and be carried away by the wind. but i thought this one was creative and cute. keep writing them.
