Trivia
Trivia brain teasers have some element of trivia in them, but they are not just pure trivia questions.Trivia
My rule marked the beginning of a period filled with ruthlessness and brutality.
A mausoleum of immortality seemed the only answer to my questions of a divine life.
People will find me on a farm,
but a farm it is no longer.
Men, horses and weapons guarded me, but alas, although my silent warriors resembled the days of pomp and vigour, they were crushed to pieces by my enemy.
Who am I?

Answer
I am the Emperor Qin Shi Huang, or more simply, the Emperor Qin, the first Emperor of China.Upon ascending the throne at the age of 13 (in 246 BC), Qin Shi Huang had work begun on his mausoleum. It took 11 years to finish. He had the Terracotta Warriors fashioned to guard his sacred tomb. It is speculated that many buried treasures and sacrificial objects had accompanied the emperor in his afterlife. The tomb of the Terracotta Warriors was later completely destroyed by raiding Mongol hordes.
The site of his burial chamber was originally a farm, and was discovered by accident by three farmers digging a well on their property.
The Terracotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century. Work is ongoing at this site, which is around 1.5 kilometers east of Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum, Lintong County, Shaanxi province, China.
Archaeologists are continuing attempting to piece together the smashed statues. (Qin also had the most substantial work done to the Great Wall of China).

Good, but not very hard, i personaly like the riddles that involve more thinking than the ones that just depend on if you've had a good history lesson or not.
I agree with underdog these are not teasing your brain it is just seeing if you know a lot of history
more trivia than riddle, but still good
I thought it was fantastic. Keep them coming please!!!
Really good work. You do a good job with your writing.
Since I do study history, I do like such riddles... I found it under trivia, so I don't object! And I do have to admit: I didn't find it... I rather thought about Egyptian Pharaos, who's pyramide's are mausoleums in some way...!
Thanks for that. I try and vary my teasers so they can cater for a wider audience.
I think this belongs back in riddles...
It was very hard
