Feb 25, 2007

Fun, though quite easy.

n.b. An alternate solution for BRU(---)LY is SHY, to form BRUSHY and SHYLY.
Feb 25, 2007

Feb 25, 2007

I thought the last one was more difficult than the others.
Feb 25, 2007

Feb 25, 2007

Feb 25, 2007

I,m not sure,was that a 4th or 5th grade quiz?
Feb 25, 2007

Always quite fun to work out! And, they will always be easy for some of us but, it is how you have fun with 'em Keep up the terriffic work! Some of us will keep enjoying them
Feb 25, 2007

I liked this one. Made you really think about the answers. Thanks for the great teaser.
Feb 25, 2007

Definitely adding this to "my favorites." I really like the ones that are doable, but require a bit of thought--just like this one!! Thanks

HArd directions to express, but I till think you could have done them better. I thought if there was 3 spaces, 1 would complete the first word, and 2 would start the next one. Now tha I understand it, please make another one.
Feb 25, 2007

Nice job. I liked this one. More please.
Feb 25, 2007

I have seen this kind of puzzle before so I understood the directions right away. It was fairly easy, but I had trouble with the last one. Thanks , and keep them coming.
Feb 25, 2007

i dont get it--- didnt get it before and still dont get it after i read the answer - i dont consider myself dumb - maybe the instructions were foggy.....
Feb 25, 2007

I didn't do any cause I didn't get it.
Feb 25, 2007

LTSA FUN! They don't have to be impossible to be enjoyable! Please make more of these Jazz!
Feb 25, 2007

I dunno, I thought for some reason that the 2 words had to have some sort of connection.....
Feb 25, 2007

good teaser ,took a little thought to complete
Feb 25, 2007

Besides missing the last one, where I wasn't alone, I also missed cancellar; the other 3 were easy. Enjoyed; please keep these coming. ty jazz for submitting.

btw, doehead, where are YOUR brilliant teasers?? And will they be so hard that no one but you can enjoy doing them?? Put up or shut up. Please.
Feb 25, 2007

i've seen other things like this... but fun!
Feb 25, 2007

This was very fun-
It's going in my favorites-
Feb 25, 2007

Thanks guys for your positive feedback (mostly).

For people like 'doehead' who constantly whinge about how 'easy' teasers can be, let me remind those people that this is a forum for ALL ages, therefore, kids in 4th or 5th grade will be trying to work them out too.

Those kind of negative comments says much about the person who wrote them. Also, there never seems to be any 'advice' by them on how to make a 'harder' teaser!
Feb 26, 2007

Also, it's not just age that makes the difference between what is an easy or hard teaser. We all come to this site with different backgrounds and expertise in various areas. For instance, I find many of the teasers involving words easy enough to solve , but they are fun and interesting for me. Some of the science and math teasers are way beyond me--and I'm far past 5th grade. I think the main thing is to keep providing a variety of teasers to suit all tastes and quit all this bickering about levels of difficulty.

This was pretty good.
Mar 21, 2007

hi jazz, sorry, i read my messages after i recovered my account. my friend from school had found my password. i am very sorry at what has happened. now i have bad karma

i saw that you said you gave me bad karma, any way of it going back up please?
Apr 08, 2007

This was good! It was fun, but easy. I got this one pretty fast. Keep up the good work, I hope to see more of these soon.
Apr 08, 2007

Thanks guys
Feb 25, 2010

Extremely easy!!!
Feb 25, 2010

Definitely love these kinds of teasers. Keep them coming.
Feb 25, 2010

Btw, I would tend to ignore the comments from doehead and Lmurray, as they usually complain about how easy everything is, but inevitably have some mistakes in their comments. "I,m" doehead? Go back to 4th grade and maybe you can learn how to write.
Feb 25, 2010

Great quiz!
Feb 25, 2013

Feb 25, 2013

While i found this teaser easy, I tend to agree with whomever it was in the older comments who said we all come here with different strengths and knowledge.
Not only are there people of all ages on the site, there are people from all over the world, many of whom speak a language other than English. Doing puzzles in a foreign language increases the difficulty immensely.
I too agree that perhaps those who criticize the puzzles and quizzes most, should write on of their own and see just how hard it is to do one that appeals to the masses.
Though I found it easy, I still found it quite enjoyable.
Feb 25, 2013

Nicely said Habs
Feb 25, 2013

Well written answer by HABS. I agree with him. I'm sure GW will also agree.
Feb 25, 2013

Yes GW definitely agrees. HABS can always be counted on for excellent, insightful comments! Have a wonderful day, folks - and keep warm. We're expecting 6-9" of snow soon - at least that's the weather report from my son! Hi to CB!
Feb 25, 2013

Excellent teaser..My hardest was the last
Feb 25, 2013

Nice, Enjoyable teaser; the 4th one took me longest; the rest came easily. Even the ones that are easy cause the brain cells to gear up and work a little bit - not a bad thing!
Thank you for submitting your teaser for us to enjoy
Feb 25, 2016

I'd like to +1 the first half of HABS comment - I, for one, am a non-English speaking and for me the puzzle (as all language ones here) was difficult (I only solved 3 and from them Bru---ly I only came with Brushy/shyly) AND fun.

The second half of the comment - well, I guess there's nothing wrong in criticizing the puzzle when someone feels it is flawy/stupid/wrong. This is the only way the author gets the feedback and can judge which of their puzzles are the ones most loved.
Feb 25, 2016

I liked the puzzle and found it easy this time around But I LOVE the comments. Funny, bright people at this site!
Feb 25, 2016

fun; easy
