Brain Teasers
I Don't Get it
Mystery
Mystery teasers are little stories where you need to figure out what happened based on the given clues.Mystery
A man's life was at an all time low. He lost his job, his wife, his house; and now his mom just died in a car accident. After the funeral, a man approached him and told him that his mom had taken a mortgage on the house and left him nothing except one thing. It was a note that read:
Dear my only son,
Thhaenrge! Tmhoe Bnaecykiyarsd
After he read the note, he finally got a smile on his face. What did his mom tell him in the note?
Dear my only son,
Thhaenrge! Tmhoe Bnaecykiyarsd
After he read the note, he finally got a smile on his face. What did his mom tell him in the note?
Answer
If you don't understood what it read, it said:"Hang in There! Money is in the back yard."
Explanation:
ThHaEnRgE! TmHoE BnAeCyKiYARsD
If you can read, you can see the "hang" is literally in "there" and "money is" is literally in "the backyard". By the way, the mom hid the money in the garden, if you were wondering.

I got it, but I still think it's a very clever teaser! Keep up the good work.
that's a good one, i only thought it was "There! The Backyard" until i read the answer.
Same here, thought it was "There! the backyard" and then i read the answer and it made a lot more sense!!
I knew whatever it was was in the back yard and what else could make him that happy. Not bad.
except...if the mom had died in a car accident..didn't that mean she died unexpectedly..and if that were the case...how would she have preemptively written the note?
i see that but she did leave something behind for ex: in her saftey deposit box she left him the note if anything unexpected would happen he would still know where money was

the "in" in "hang in there" was not in the puzzle. just letting u know
did u not read the explanation?
KevinNY828, IN didn't have to be in the puzzle because hang is IN the word there. Hang IN there! Anyways... great puzzle! It was really fun! I enjoyed it! Keep up the good work LeafFan! Lol!!!
I had to take it apart, so I got it indirectly.
very awesome teaser, i hope i could come up with something like that
Lol. I got the jest of something being in the backyard. It was kind of simple from there. =). Loved it!

Great job. It was easy but very fun. Had me start my day with a smile
I kind of got it. Could definitely see backyard, so I guessed at the rest and came up with the correct answer. Good job. Fun teaser. Thanks for posting.
I guess I'm like Simon Cowel. I didn't like it.
Very nice! Wow - Simon Cowel [sic] reads these?
That was cool. I didn't even see it coming.

It was a very clever teaser, just a bit hard for me......in other words
I did not get it
I did not get it
I'm not a fan of this one. Too much of a mish-mosh in that its sort of a Rebus/Riddle thing but not really.
i liked this teaser .. nice job!
i like this one. i think i've seen it beofre though i don't know where.
Too bad he'll have to use all that money to pay off his mom's debt he just got too. At least he has a dog (I hope)
I only got back yard and there. I thought it was three words, as you had them spaced away from each other too much.

Would have been better if the clued were spelled correct!
"TmHoE BnAeCyKiYaRsD" has extra letters in it.
What is "moneyias"?

good teaser, but if she had the money, why did she need to take out a mortgage?
There is an A in the is so the is will be ias. That messed the whole thing up.
GREAT TEAER BUT GOT IT WONG
I am usually positive; but I can't believe that more people haven't come down hard on this one!
1. The first word has the answer spelled out evenly on each other letter. The rest of the answer seems randomly spread out. It must be consistent.
2. The answer has the letters in a completely different order in the last word than in the question.
3. The capital letters in the answer don't match the words.
Sorry, but this is terrible. Let's be consistent.

lighten up...it was fun...isn't that what this is suppose to be...
great job! post some teaser like this again
I knew something good was buried in the backyard. Good Teaser, funny, sad, yet welcoming
SUPER Teaser!
dat was easy...
This was so brilliant and classic, I'm saving it in a word document to read to my future grandkids. Loved it.
The word "backyard" seemed to jump out at me, so I tried to find other words that way. Great teaser - tricky, but with a little perseverance, I figured it out!
It was good, but I didn't understand because everything was one word. It made me think that there were only three words on the note... but otherwise, nice!
good one! at the beginning I was thinking WHAT?? at the end I had to give up. that was a really fun one!
That was way eaasy, but a very good teaser
Great teaser, but probably should be n rebus... Whatever!
Did the mother have a premonition
she was going to die and bury the money ahead of time? Strange. I only got two words out of it also.

Seen these kind before, so it was easy.
Everyone knows they are going to die eventually, maybe she buried the money years ago when she took out the 2nd mortgage. And why would she bury it in the first place? So it would appear that she died penniless and that way the son would still get an inheritance of some sort but as it was in cash and unknown to the government he would avoid paying taxes on it.
I solved it. Very odd and unrealistic story/situation, but a good rebus anyway!
Money can't bring back his poor dead mom or poor dead wife though.
I eventually got it, brilliant teaser thanks! Would have helped if you had correctly labelled it as a rebus though!
I'm just happy I figured it out after reading the answer.
Fun teaser. Had to ponder a bit to figure it out.
I love teasers with stories behind them. This one is really dark! The Mom took out a mortgage on her home, then hid the money, then wrote her destitute son a secret note to find the hidden money, then dies in an "accident". Yikes. Mom's are dedicated to children, but... yikes.

Pretty good. Like some others, I didn't get the wording exactly, but I knew it was the money and the backyard. And I got hang and there, but couldn't figure out how that went with the rest.
easy
