My 1, 13, 4, 5, 6 is to gawk at something.
My 11, 8, 9, 15 is a long way to miss.
My 5, 4, 7, 12 is a sweeper for leaves.
My 11, 10, 14, 6 is a greater amount.

My whole is a unit of area, spelt the British way.



Answer

My 2, 3, 6, 12, 5 is "queer", which means "weird".
My 1, 13, 4, 5, 6 is to "stare", or to gawk.
My 11, 8, 9, 15 is a "mile", which is a long way to miss.
My 5, 4, 7, 12 is a "rake", a sweeper for leaves.
My 11, 10, 14, 6 is "more", a greater amount.

My whole is "square kilometre", a unit of area spelt the British way.

The British spelling makes a difference because then 14 would become 15 and 15 would become 14 in the riddle.

I guess it's just to make it obscure, something like that. I just added it in there for fun.
