You know that you're a couch potato if ... you can name the television series in Group B that can be added to Group A, and give the reason.

Group A: The Andy Griffith Show, The Bob Newhart Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Patty Duke Show
Group B: The Bill Cosby Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Doris Day Show, The Eve Arden Show, The Phil Silvers Show, The Redd Foxx Show

Answer

Each of the shows had a title that included the lead actor's name. The lead actor of each series in Group A played a character with the same first name as that actor. Andy Griffith starred as Andy Taylor. Bob Newhart starred as Robert "Bob" Hartley. Mary Tyler Moore starred as Mary Richards. Patty Duke starred as Patty Lane. Thus, "The Doris Day Show", starring Doris Day as Doris Martin, can be added to Group A. Bill Cosby starred as Chet Kincaid, Dick Van Dyke starred as Robert "Rob" Petrie, Eve Arden starred as Liza Hammond, Phil Silvers starred as Ernest "Ernie" Bilko, and Redd Foxx starred as Al Hughes.
