I never only work one way,
Despite what you normally think.
I came in many shapes and sizes,
And often sit over a sink.
You see me almost everywhere,
Although you may not know.
When you see your reflection
You know it's what I also show.
So tell me now, do you know?
What am I? Can you see?
Read through these very simple clues
And soon you will find me.

Answer

A mirror!

Line 1: There is no such thing as a one-way mirror!

Line 2: Normally, we use mirrors that APPEAR to be one-way, so we tend to think of them as one-way.

Line 3: You see mirrors wherever there is glass - all glass is a mirror. It only depends on the amount of light in the space on each side as to how strong the mirror is. Imagine a house at night, you can't see out, can you!

Line 4: Regular mirrors are often over sinks in bathrooms.

Line 5+6: Giveaway lines! You see your reflection in a mirror.

"When you see your reflection" pretty much gives it away... otherwise good.

Much too easy. It sort of spoiled the enjoyment for me. Sorry.
