hahaha, good one!
cool
good one
i wouldnt of got that in a million years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Figured it was something to do with RIP but was amused by the answer all the same. Good one.
That was very clever. I like it. Keep up the good work!
First thing I thought of was R.I.P., and at first I thought that it was something 2 do with a graveyard...clever, but sorta lame on my opinion.
I go with zangel3000 it was kinda lame
when i saw the teaser i was thinking an error on a grave stone but then i thought it can't be and i knew if it was it would tick some people off but i think it's a kickbutt teaser good1
Aug 14, 2002
cool!!
Great - anything but lame

Several teasers have made me smile. Most of them are from im para noid. Shoulda guessed this one was from you as well. Good going.
LOL! i thought it was recipe or something...i was diggin for answers.....thats cute, lol. )
Cool, that was a really good one
Cheers.
Cheers.
I laughed so loudly after reading the answer! This goes to favourites! (Am I crazy or was this really funny???)
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? THERE IS NO EXPLANATION TO THIS ONE AND I DO NOT UNDERSTAND AT ALL HOW YOU ARRIVE AT THE ANSWER. THIS ISN'T GOOD AT ALL, UNLESS YOU MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS GOING TO UNDERSTAND. I HAVE NOT A SINGLE BIT OF A CLUE.
THIS IS FOR USERNAME IT'S AN ERROR ON A GRAVE......A GRAVE ERROR
Nice play on words, thanks.
huh? error on a grave? then to grave error? where do you get that from? start at the very beginning, please. how does RPI become error on a grave?? and what do these letters mean?
See, on graves people write R.I.P. - Rest In Peace. The writer of the teaser mixed up the letters making it an error on a grave/a grave error.
Made me slightly amused at the answer.. nice job
made me laugh out loud.
I laughed till i was coffin
jimbo - nice comment i liked that one lol - and i lved the teaser - i thought u spelt it wrong at first tho then i realized it was ment to be like that lol
MY SENTIMENTS REST WITH THOSE WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS LAME.
it was pretty good i thought
I always thought r i p meant rust in pieces o wait that my car
Have to agree with Imurray this time. Sorry/
Cute teaser - Clever Like some others, I got the RIP, but not the final answer. But what I always enjoy are the comments - Thanks for those, Jimbo and tuckpaw! and those who thought it was lame - come on - laugh a little bit!

well, NOW I get how these comments come up twice - always wondered why - sorry for the double click!!
Pitiful
nice try but a little more to the riddle would of ben helpful.
It was cute... it took me a while bcause i just woke up... lol I liked it a lot
I was completely lost with this one.
I also was a bit confused. I got the RIP from RPI but I didn't think it had anything to do with the teaser. Oh well.
Haha...I never would have thought of that on my own (although I did think that it had something to do with R.I.P.). I loved it!!!
I liked it! good one
lol i couldnt figure it out it was halarious and very tricky good one!!!!
this is also for username umm it means it is a grave error you retard instead of rip witch its how it supposed to be its rpi a grave error username dont do them if you dont get the answer..
puttumup i have been seeing you write bad things about everything for the past few days you need to just kick loose or something if you dont like them dont read them or just come up with your own and send it in... i think it might be a great idea for you...
Rest in peace was the first thought, but I couldn't go from there. The Answer was a very funny "Ha Ha, oh of course!"
My answer was "Disturbing the peace" since peace was in the wrong place. I laughed out loud when I saw the correct answer. I guess everyone has their own sense of humor. I love a play on words.
i don't deny this was funny, but it was a joke, not a teaser
That was something, I don't know what but it was something.
Thanks for the post anyway. I got it wrong, but there is always tomorrow.
Monday~

Calm down everyone; it's just a pun/rebus combination. A "grave" error is usually one with dire consequences. In this case it was literally a "grave" error because tombstones are usually marked with R.I.P. (Rest in peace).
While it may not be rebus in a strict sense, it did put a smile on my face. Thank You Im_Para_Noid I thought it was cute.

Hilarious! Thanks for the laugh!
Very clever
This is for kirstydh. Calling someone a retard because they don't get a pun is, in my opinion, worse that what the people you are critizing have said. In addition, your grammer is atrocious. I suggest you check the mote in your eye before any more such comments.
Love it. LOVE IT.
I'm pretty much the same as everyone else... figured out that it was mixed-up "Rest In Peace" but couldn't go from there. Brilliantly done. This one's for the fave box.

Well, I do think it was pretty clever and kinda funny. But it was still well deserving of the eye roll it got from me. Almost no one was likely to get it, and when you see the answer you're glad you didn't waste a lot of time on it.
very funny, I loved it.Pun, Joke, call it whatever you want, it was still funny.
My first thought was it was like other rebuses and I read it as Pee in Our Eye. I thought...nooooo! That can't be it!
I like the correct answer, would not have figured that one out.
I like the correct answer, would not have figured that one out.
very clever!
I never would have gotten this
Ummm. It was cute I actually do agree with the others who said it was not a rebus.
But as a cute joke, it rocks!!!

that was funny, couldn't figure it out, but I loved it.
WAS OK!
Short and sweet,cute and funny

Aug 10, 2007
lol. ehhh. it was okay.
That was really funny, seriously, I'm laughing my head of!! LOL!
Aug 10, 2007
wow. that kid obviously hasnt ever seen or heard anything funny in his entire span of existence.
veddy good! i was stumped for a change
What fun! No one could ever expand the Rest In Peace phrase and get the answer - though we all started with the same idea. Good job!
I know that offensive language is not allowed on this site. What about names? (three above me)
THAT WAS GREAT
What a Chuckle.
I HAVE TO AGREE WITH ICANN? IS

Thank you 2ndhandrose. But it's not just those first two words--what about the rest of it? I think it's absolutely vulgar. Who in the world would want to call himself/herself that?
Sorry, 2ndhandrose--I just reread your comment and understand now what you are saying. I misread it the first time.
Clever...
Kind of a joke. Great teaser!
icann you can goto someones profile page and there is a spot to click if it is offensive.
i thought teaser was good by the way

Rest Peace In? haha great teaser
ii diint neva theiink of that one niice
Hahaha.. I love it!!! That was really brilliant. I had no idea what it was after some time of contemplation.
Funny!
That was so good! I actually laughed out loud!
Made me smile Though I do not hear such phrases very often
Groan! Good one!
That was hilarious...I was thinking along the lines of, "Rest Peace In," but I guess I was on the right track at least.
Kind of a groaner, but fun just the same.
Still funny, and clever.
Laughing out loud, a good one.
I don't think anyone got this one. Bad teaser or much higher on the difficulty scale? should have been four not 2.5.
Yeah... or Rest in Pieces =x
Very difficult and funny I was thinking like Providence is in Rhode Island or something...yeah, not even close.
A little bit crazy, but I laughed when I saw the answer!
I'll give it one of these:
This should be a R.P.I. for editors. Very old and showing wear.
This one still makes me laugh.
Huh. I thought it was easy. Rensellaer Polytechnic Institute (R.P.I) is my niece's alma mater. No?
Then I guess this was a shaggy dog rebus...
Then I guess this was a shaggy dog rebus...
That is a bit of a stretch, but it seems some people are easily amused. I did not even think it was clever as some have said. Okay it is passable though!
Absolutely near-perfect material for a Rebus.
Those who don't think so apparently STILL don't 'get' a Rebus.
That's OK .... it requires a somewhat creative mind to 'see" most Rebuses.
And ... it's NOT a situation of 'you're either born with it' or not (creativity).
It's a learnable skill. Those who don't have it are just 'lazy learners'. Get to work !!
AND DON'T HIT "OFFENSIVE" for this .... sometimes the truth hurts.
But ... wanna know what's REALLY offensive for ALL this?
The Editors would now disallow this Rebus. They now eschew (look it up) one-word Rebus bods. Check out the FAQs for Rebuses.
Hey ... could it be that some of the Editors don't 'get' Rebuses ???? .... yet?
Maybe another 'painful truth'

'not resting IN peace' didn't sound good, so I'm glad the actual answer worked! fun-
Novel and creative. I made the connection to R.I.P. right away, so it was not too abstract. I did not make the leap to "grave error". I backed off and went with "half repaid". I know, it's not an idiom, but I was stumped!
Fun and humorous. I'm adding this to my rebus repetoire. It's fun to put something like this on the whiteboard during a meeting to challenge collegues.

Hey, snowdoggie
try this one next time on your whiteboard ... #50210
Or would it be too 'abstract' for your colleagues?
And it was not original with Bro Jay. We found it in Dad's databank and - on search - learned that it was destined to be the "shortest" (both HEIGHTH & LENGTH {har-har}) Rebus EVER EVER EVER - in the totality of the networld. It just did not exist prior to our submittal.
And ... (again) ... would you believe that - had it been submitted au contem - would be disallowed by our spirited-but-not-too-perspicacious Eds.
Or ... try #21265 which, again, might be extant(ly) nixed by the Eds (my raving paranoid imagination is taking over here) because the iceberg was the 'sinker' .... not the Titanic.
Although .... har, de, har, har, har .... (as suggested by one of the commenters; makes for a MUCH more comical reading).

I thought it was "not resting in peace". It really didn't work, I know, but I couldn't think of anything else. I thought the answer was really cute, but one that nobody was going to come up with. Looks like I was right on that.
