Answer
Actions speak louder than words.
Explanation:
Run, Hit, Jump are all actions and the volume level for them is higher that than of Dictionary which simply contains a whole lot of words. Hence you get Actions speak louder than words.

| you might want to put volume level then in () write (sound) because I thought it was like an encyclopedia. Other than that I thought it was great. I don't have enough points to edit or w/e. |

| This is for Marschie. I looked up BUCUO. Its a form of chinese & doesn't run through basic translator software. Used in slang to mean "not bad", but translates more accurately to "no fault" or "no wrong" - hope this helps! |

| Why is Imurray still allowed to be here trashing all of these teasers???
This was a strange teaser for me, I got action and words, but that's all. I guess I getting old...nay, just too sober. Fine teaser dsquared. |

| Got it, but how about: "My kids were playing very loudly while I was quietly trying to look something up in the dictionary"? Guess you'd have to be here. Very cute teaser! Thanks! (5) |

| OCH volume shows that actions are louder than words. We needed to add speaks ourselves.
Good teaser, it didn't "click" for me. |

| Well, I got it, I got it, I got it!!! So, of course I have nothing negative to say now.
To nurob, I think its OK to leave lmurray here and just delete the really offensive ones, because then we all get a chance to kick his butt... AND, he deserves it! LOL!

| This saying is an old one, my parents taught me this while I was growing up. And here I am, a middle aged young man. BTW, the teaser was superb! Once you truly learn this expression, it makes you wonder about other people. |

| Yayyy! I got it, too ... but not without the hint first. ThanxaMILLION, DSquared, for waking up my brain today!
NuRob and shawneeo - I don't even know how offended to be by lmurray's Chinese word. Maybe it is really BAD. I think I'll click it out of principal and past history. |

| Wow, thanks so much for all the comments. I'm guessing from the deluge of 'new comments' in my inbox that this was possibly teaser of the day a couple of days ago? I'm pleased that it was enjoyable for most. I'll have to write some more some day soon. |

| Yup, it was teaser of the day for August 26th ...
and it GOT me. I might have to accept that rebuses are not my thing. I was completely stumped. I didn't even have a guess. The hint compounded my confusion.
To others in my boat: let's just cast again, and see what random teaser we fish out next!
Anyways, I have heard the phrase before, it just didn't come to mind at all while working on this. My fault, not yours! |

This was a great rebus. I haven't seen one along these lines before, which is impressive for a rebus, where it seems everything has been done. |

| I too thought volume had something to do with books and could not figure that one out. Even though it means volume loud or soft I agree it is a stretch for speaking. Oh well glad you posted it keeps on teaching me about these kind if teasers. |
