Sometimes I'm "L"-shaped.
Sometimes I'm rectangle shaped.
The arrow on me doesn't go straight.
I'm used to end things.
I'm used to accept things.
And sometimes I'm used just to leave a long empty space.

What am I?

Answer

The "Enter" key on a keyboard.

Some keyboards have an "L"-shaped Enter key and some have a strait rectangular Enter key. The arrow on the key is going south, and then makes a sharp turn west.
