Since we have cities of the world, what about people? Only people that have passed away count.

I'll start with A:
An Lushan

You can use any part of the name you want, but at least use a part that most people know about. For example, the 'G' in H. G. Wells is well-known so it can be used; similarly, you can use the temple name Taizong for Li Shimin because he is well-known as both (but do state the dynasty!) On the other hand, most people don't know Aisin Gioro Hong Taiji's posthumous name, so don't use that!

Take all sorrow out of life and you take away all richness, and depth, and tenderness. The capacity of sorrow belongs to our grandeur. It is the furnace that melts hearts together in love. In loving memory of my dear friend Guy - take care Goobs . .

You spelt her last name right, but multiple sites have her given name as Erma instead of Irma.
