Actually, when I read you post bluey, it DID make me laugh...I even read it to Mr Snappy and he laughed too!

What's there to win? I wanna win!

Hello everybody, how are my Braingle peeps? (not that I think I own you, but, just a fig of spee) It's got cold here, which is terrible for the people without power in the area. Philly was really not hurt, but there are many people without power. NJ and NYC got nailed, as I'm sure most of you know, and now it's really cold, and they don't have heat, they can't get gas for generators, if they have one, they don't have generators because those sold out, and according to the news, "tempers are snapping", Hey! Snappy! They are snapping up here! But it's not the good kind of snapping, unfortuntately.

I got my second cortisone "blocking shot" about a week ago. Now I'm doing physical therapy. I had my first PT visit on Friday, and two more this week. The shot didn't make much diff this time, sorry to say. The first shot made a noticeable difference, and the second shot has made a LITTLE difference. I was almost suspicious that they were using a placebo on me this time! But they wouldn't do that, because that would make me angry.

I hope you are all well and feeling loved.

Life... can be so many things... how can anyone ever think they are RIGHT? HAhahahahahahaha!!!!!

I can't wait for the warm weather!
I think I am a solar panel - I need recharging!

It has reverted back to winter here. Rain, wind, cold...storms! Yuk!
Sunday is supposed to be warm so I am looking forward to that!

I seem to be unable to vote, I think, not sure, because my last change of address never "kicked in". I'm going to go to the polling place where I should be registered, but after checking as much as I can, I'm expecting bad news.

However, I hope everyone who can vote will vote. This is such a strange time here in the NE to have an election... there are people who are living in shelters now, etc., so it's going to be interesting at least.

Life... can be so many things... how can anyone ever think they are RIGHT? HAhahahahahahaha!!!!!

I hadn't planned on voting this year... but some of the "side" votes for the props caused me to. So many props have hidden side items that are not listed on the voting sheet. I really get tired of this... wish that props were "by law" written with no hidden agendas or exceptions NOT specially written on the voting record. I know that will not happen, but...

We have one in California... Prop J... the biggest advertisement ploy is "No new taxes". They are right... however, what they don't say is that you are voting to KEEP a tax increase on the books from a previous stax increase. Absolutely no mention of this in any of their ads... only read it in the booklet sent to me. ahhhh.... disgusting. Maybe I missed something, but enough of all tax increases. The government is wasting too much already.

Ah, voting. I'm going to have to scramble to vote tomorrow, seeing as I'm in school most of the day, but I do seek to vote. On the topic, today is Guy Fawkes Day and so I wanted to burn an effigy in honour of it. Seeing as how it's near the election, and how my brother and I disagree on who should win the presidency, we decided to each burn the candidate we don't like as a bit of fun. We made it a race: the first to burn out lost the election. Well, it was a tough race, seeing as how we had to keep lighting all parts, but if it's any indication, Obama will win since he burnt least. Which, strangely enough, is exactly why I'm voting for him again.

Happy Guy Fawkes Night all who celebrate it. Here's to that crazy old thing called representative democracy.

I don't know how they do it!
We get a lot of coverage here about your election. Sometimes we joke that USA should buy us as a new state...we are so much like USA.

What strikes me is that in the last week all both candidates have been saying is "blah blah blah America...we can... we are great.... blah blah.. I will help you all get ahead in life... I will let you borrow my car... come to my house for lunch.. vote for me...blah blah blah...."

Where are the nuts and bolts [well, hmpf, I know where the nuts are!!!!]???
How do they propose to run the country?
What is their policy on healt, education, immigration....????
Is there something we don't see here?

It is almost like a religious fervour....Damn you... you will go to hell if you don't vote for blah blah blah....

I need to turn ion my ballot still, but I have voted. Snappy - I completely agree with you! I hear a lot of whining about single issues but not a lot of policy discussion. I usually see it as voting the lesser of two evils when I vote. They aren't either one of them terrible, but neither is particularly great either. Ah well...

Logical - I celebrate Guy Fawkes Day by celebrating my son's birthday. I had planned on getting masks and wearing them for the day with him, but completely ran out of time. LOL
