For those of you who observe Lent, what are you fasting from?

I am giving up complaining and hugs. Complaining, because I feel I have been too negative lately, and hugs, because, well, in recent months, I have become a really touchy-feely person, and I wanted to give up something I enjoy. It is much more difficult than I thought, but I managed to survive Valentine's Day without a single hug.

Someday, when I have more willpower, I will give up chocolate.

I gave up soda/pop. Hopefully this means I'll be saved from diabetes (my dad and my grandfathers have it). I also gave up procrastination: I started studying a couple hours earlier than normal.

And I will never give up chocolate near Easter for one very important reason:

I could never give up chocolate
if I was giving something up though it'd probably be having late nights, I get sooo tired in the day

I've never given up anything for Lent, but I can respect those who do, especially when it's something negative like complaining. Good luck to all who participate in the fasting (clearly chocolate would be a bad one for many here. I could probably do it. It's not my favourite sweet. But electronics ... tough.)
