Hey im very bored so thought id start a new topic!!!
So what are the worst songs ever made?!?!?!
I personally hate songs that are manufactured, like the singers being told what to sing, what to say, what to wear etc. I just think these songs lack any soul which, to me, is one of the most important things to have in music. I also HATE justin biebar songs. He irritates me so much he seems so full of himself and has no respect for his fans, which i find disgusting since its the fans who get you where you are. I also cant stand the song "do you feel like we do" by peter frampton, but i think that more because my brother kept singing it again and again and again i dont have anything against peter frampton himself though its just that one song
So what are everyone elses thoughts on the worst songs ever made??

Dubstep.

And, being serious, any tween-pop, Disney, pop and Top 40. Like Kesha, and Justin Bieber, and Rihanna and Taylor Swift and Kanye West and....you get the idea.

One Direction < 3 I love them as well.

I'm not a fan of Kanye... He seems full of himself.

I find it funny that just because someone came from Disney or does Pop music they get labeled as untalented.

Worst songs of all time? The majority of American songs (and generally global songs) produced after some point in the mid to late 1990s.

Bad rap. Bad pop. Bad metal. Auto-tune, a lack of actual instruments, whining singing, most songs being generic at best and irritating at worst.

People allowed rock'n'roll to die and decompose into rock. For that I am irritated beyond measure. I'd name actual songs but for that I would have to turn on the radio or something.

Unfortunely i was born in the 90's so ive had the torture of all the bad songs LogicalRoger is talking about luckily my mum and dad brought me on the classics like david bowie, queen amd bob marley i do like old music, even stuff from the 30's and 40's but i do like some new stuff as well. Amy winehouse was a huge inspiration to me, music wise not her lifestyle (even though she did get off the drugs a couple of years prior her death), and there is good music out there still. I dont think all pop music is bad however, its the ones who arent original, mime, dont write their own music, and are completely manufactured, like justin bieber and one direction. It annoys me so much that these people dont even work to get where they are, dont write, dont compose, dont sing live, dont play an instrument, when people like me who taught themselves to play an instrument, in my case guitar and i want to move onto piano, and write and compose their own music find it difficult to break into the industry. Theres so many really good musicians out there who dont get the recognition they deserve when people like justin bieber and miley cyrus get fame and they havent truly worked for it. Lets be honest if miley cyrus didnt have a famous dad no one would know who she is.

Justin Bieber didn't work for his fame? Ha.
Miley Cyrus is known for who she is because of her show, not her father. O.o

Miley may be more famous than her dad now but he once had fame himself. What gets me is how these people mime and dont respect their fans. I hate their music as well, but thats just personal taste. I just see a lot of people who are a lot more talented than these people i dont see either bieber or miley acheiving what someone like david bowie acheived. Even amy winehouse acheived so much even though she only done two albums, but those albums have became iconic and shes influenced pretty much every female singer that came after her like lady gaga. But hey im not here to argue so lets agree to disagree

like bruvvy said, she got famous for her tv show

i don't know much about justin but from what i've seen he's always pretty adorable with his young fans

miley just seems like a really good person too

they're doing incredibly well and they're both so young so i'm not sure why you'd think they won't be as big as david bowie

super fair if you don't like their music but i think you can do that without criticizing their personalities/work ethic!! :-)

Because unless they are willing to experiment with their music they will not last much longer than their genre. Bowie, on the other hand, has multiple different styles and thus has had hits in multiple decades.

Now, I can't say I listen to any of Bieber or Cyrus, so I can't tell if they are actually trying new methods, but I feel that modern musicians [at the very least popular ones] are less in-control of what they are doing (corporate meddling) and thus generally less creative. Less creativity means good hits for now, but a forgotten legacy once the fad dies down. It's certainly happened before. Just watch those shows on PBS about the great musicians from the earlier decades as people reminisce. Much of them got famous with one type of music and some even continue busting it out over the years, but unless they experiment they will not last as long as artists like Bowie.

Bieber and Cyrus will perform together around the globe in small "Crunkin' it to the '10s" events where parents remember fondly on life at the beginning of the new millennium. Unless they go into another direction and break out of pop.

I'll fondly remember....hardly anything from the 00's, I think. 90's was bad. There's always a few great artists spread throughout decades, but you'd be hard pressed to find them unless they are famous from decades before.

I think it's pointless to hate an artist because of the certain type of music they make. Actually I think it's pointless to hate music. I'm really open when it comes to accepting different styles of music, heck I'll even listen to rap.
I feel that people "hate" an artist because they think it's cool or just because everyone else does. Bieber didn't have it easy when it came to becoming famous, that boy has talent even though some of his songs may not show it.
It's totally fine if you dislike a certain type of music, just sometimes people get overly dramatic about an artist and act as if it actually matters rather they like that artist or not.

Blatant contradiction detected.

Kanye is obviously very talented and comes up with some of the most original material (which many artists mimic) that ever comes out. Yet you criticize his arrogance (as it's popular to do) which is completely irrelevant....and you criticized others for doing that.

As i think ive said already i do listen to all genres of music from all different decades, so its not that i hate pop music, in fact i love pop music theres just a lot of people who are manufactured, like LogicalRoger has said. Like he said as well artists such as bowie experimented a LOT and went for the sounds that were completely different. Certain artists now do exactly the same as the next artist which can be very boring. Thats what bugs me, so many artists now just copy each other. Nothing wrong with being influenced by an artist, but you make it different. Like amy winehouse was influenced by people like billie holiday and frank sinatra but she became her own artist in her own right. And there have been times where justin bieber has apparently insulted fans, sworn at them, etc because i did read about it Fair enough if you like someone like bieber or miley cyrus, i just really REALLY dont like their music, but if you like them then thats fine its just personal taste and opinion

Oh and if i dont like someones music doesnt mean i hate the person. Like i dont like kylie minogue's music (not sure i spelt her name right ) but i've seen her in interview etc and shes not full of herself, loves her fans, and is generally a nice person so as a person i like her. Its just the ones who make stupid comments, horrible to fans, do stupid things (like posting certain... Photos... Online. Miley cyrus done this and yet is supposed to be a role model to younger kids. And its not that 'teenagers do things like this', which ive heard loads of times, after all im a teenager im 17 and i wouldnt start posting photos like that online because i respect myself enough not to do that. She also knows kids look up to her yet does careless things like this. And i know shes not the only one, im using her as an example) that i dont really like. I also know some people say 'thats just miley growing up' but theres a way of breaking out of disney without doing things like posting photos like that online.

Sorry im writing loads on this topic by the way, im just very passionate about music and am very opinated on the subject but as ive said if you like the bands/artists i dont like then thats fine my best mate, whos like my sister, likes the wanted, and i cant stand their music, but that doesnt mean that i love her any less

Thats what my mate thinks as well personally i dont see it myself, but thats just me i dont have a type i go for though to be honest, if you look at my ex's theyre all VERY different people but they all had one thing in common... They all hurt me very badly ive kind of made myself sound like ive had loads of boyfriends ive only had four to be fair ... Anyway, haha, ive gone off subject another thing that annoys me about music is when you got a song stuck in your head and you cant remember the name of the artist or band but the song WONT LEAVE YOUR MIND
