What is your favorite British Television Program? I have more than one: Doctor Who, Sherlock, And The Office (U.K.)

There are loads of good ones, though I haven't seen a new one in a while (... ). I've never seen Sherlock and I'm not a fan of the Office, but Doctor Who has definitely been good.

Thinking right now my favourite's probably Spaced, though, once again there are plenty of other good ones such as Red Dwarf and the Young Ones (hope you're doing good, Mega). Another old one but still in my mind is Life on Mars. Oh and good panel shows. Can't forget about them.

I really need to check out newer British shows, though. I feel stuck in the late 2000s. What's on nowadays?

Oh, it doesn't count but I do like Martin Freeman's character on Fargo as well.

Edit: I guess I should read the news more. Apparently a day or so before I made that post here one of the major actors of the Young Ones passed away. Bloody horrible and rather shocking. Rik Mayall was a good comedian.

Sherlock and the panel shows are my favorites. I believe Doctor Who is grossly overrated.

On a side note, Fargo is currently my favorite show on television. One more episode to go.

Sherlock is by far my favorite British television program. It is beautifully written. I began watching Doctor Who a while ago, but I never really got into it. I'm only on the second series, and I'll be sure to let you know if I ever continue the journey.

Definitely Sherlock. While I love Doctor Who, I haven't watched it in quite a bit of time, so I can't really say if it's still really good.

Merlin. I enjoyed it a lot for the good acting, decent scripts, excellent production value, and general lack of anachronisms.

And besides, I understand the main character's plight. It's not easy keeping my magical powers secret, either. (oops)

Heading back to Freeman and Fargo but damn was that a very satisfying ending.

Downton Abbey, Sherlock, Call the Midwife, Broadchurch, Foyles War, MI5,

So after, when he whispers, "You love me. Real or not real?" I tell him, "Real".

Sherlock is my absolute favorite show. It surpasses my favorite American shows by far.

I love Doctor Who, but can only watch it a bit at a time or it's just too much for me. I'm more into crime/drama shows. Doctor Who is a stretch for me. I really want to watch Broadchurch before I watch its American version.

Doctor Who!!!!!!

I also like Sherlock and Downton Abbey. I enjoyed Broadchurch.

He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night, and the storm in the heart of the sun.

I really hate Ashildr. She is the worst character I've seen.

Yeah, I think making another "immortal" character just complicates things.

Still, overall the season was spot on brilliant!

Back to topic: I've watched Doctor Who since I was little and it remains a favorite.

I also enjoyed Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, Only Fools and Horses, and Are You Being Served?

I'm all about the comedy. British drama puts me to sleep - always has.
