Another random topic..
Just talk about the TV shows that you loved when you were long and aren't on anymore.
I personally loved Zaboomafoo, was my favorite show ever.
They call me Gerrard. |

I loved Zaboomafoo! *sings theme song*
I also loved Wishbone and Arthur. I think Arthur's still kicking though, isn't it?
And when I was even younger, I was all about Barney, Sesame Street, and Reading Rainbow. It was my life dream to have already read a book featured on Reading Rainbow.

Oh! And Zoom! Anybody remember Zoom?
I loooved that show! Mom hated it though cause I'd always make a mess trying to duplicate stuff I saw on there.
And Bill Nye the Science Guy!
As you can tell, Mom often used the tv to pacify me.

Well, he wanted shows that were on during our childhoods.
I like some actually "old" shows too. Mr. Ed, Green Acres, I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeannie, etc.

Today I was organizing my iTunes library. (Hey, it's nasty out and I can't go anywhere, so... yeah) I got to the song "Sweet Victory" by David Glen Eisley, which was featured on the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Band Geeks". I searched Wikipedia to try and find out what year that episode aired (so I could properly date it in iTunes... this is making me sound incredibly geeky), and I read that SpongeBob is almost the longest-lasting Nicktoon ever- it only needs like 20 or so more episodes to pass up Rugrats. That made me frown. I loved both shows growing up, and sort of experienced the passing of the torch between the two, so-to-speak.
After reading about the history of Rugrats (I had to, for nostalgia sake), I started reading about older shows like Doug (before Disney ruined it), Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, etc. I'm incredibly tempted to try and find some of the shows on DVD for cheap, just to have.

I STILL watch Arthur, lol. I love the movie Arthur's Perfect Christmas. I also liked Puzzle Place, and Mr. Rogers. (I cried when he died. Seriously.) I used to love Sesame Street, but it's gotten dumb lately.

I always liked:
Arthur
Sesame Street
Zoboomafoo
Stanley
ZOOM
Blue's Clues
GeoKids
Oswald
SpongeBob SquarePants (Season 3 and earlier)
Go Diego Go
Franklin
Little Bear
Maggie and the Ferocious Beast
The Wonder Pets
Rugrats
CatDog
Between The Lions
Henry's Amazing Animals
Untalkative Bunny
Fly Tales
Kratt's Creatures
Now that I think about, I kinda miss "Paleoworld", "Angry Beavers" and "Rocko's Modern Life", although I wasn't a fan of 'em while they were still on air (If I was alive then!).
Okay, so some of these shows still exist. Sue me.
This is just a handful of 'em. I'll be adding more when I get the chance!
(Related note: Dinosaur Train is still pretty new, but when it ends, I'll be adding it to this list.)

I love Blues Clues.
I had like so much stuff from the show.
Ah the days.
Then again, 9 years ago I was 4, so not so many memories.

Was the guy with the green striped shirt named Steve or something? I don't remember a thing about that show.

"Old TV shows" should include "Growing Pains", "Saved by the Bell", and "Full House". "This Old House" was another one, but that one's still going.
I agree, Zaboomafoo was one of the best shows for kids. The greatest thing about that show (or possibly the weirdest thing) was that Martin and I have the same birthday, and Chris and my sister have the same birthday. I admit: I glory in that a little too much.
Ahhhhh! What happened to Steve? I loved Steve. I think I might be starting to like Joe better after seeing that picture.
P.S. Don't forget about the ever-important Looney Tunes. Bugs Bunny all the way.
