Who here thinks there should be instant replays in baseball? There are many controversal calls from the umpires, and I think that they should review some plays. I was watching the Orioles game yesterday, and Brian Roberts was picked-off. The pitcher had done a balk, and the ump didn't see it. Sam Perlozzo came out to argue, and he didn't win. When the broadcasters were showing the instant replay, it clearly showed that the pitcher had balked.

I think there should be instant replays for some instances, like when the manager or player starts to argue, I think the umps should go look at the instant replay.

I'm saying yes, we already have to pay for multi-million dollar contracts we might as well pay a few cents more so we don't have to hear them whine about a bad call....but on the other hand where would be the entertainment in that .

Instant replays amuse me

OK no it's not tax money, but through chain reaction we do.

I agree with cowman12 all the way. There should be instant replays, because there are in almost every other sport.

MLB has been trying to shorten the elapsed time of games for some years. Any instant replay review rule will tend to lengthen games. I think it will take an absolute travasty of a call in a deciding playoff game before MLB takes instant replay review seriously.

Actually when you buy a ticket and or MLB merchandise of any kind that pays for player salaries and all associations for MLB baseball. Now back to the topic, I would like to see the umpires review a call when needed but I don't think they will add it because then the managers and players will come out and argue every call. But then there would be no justice. But like I say I would like it.

home run calls in the playoffs only. These calls can ruin a teams season.

Haha, or help them, GO MANNY! Although after much review it wasn't a homer because of the way the ball bounced back and because of where it hit. Never forget that just in case it isn't a homer you still need to run the bases.

In my opinion, instant replays should only be use for home runs in the regular season, but in the playoffs, it can be used for any close call because a bad call can ruin a teams season.

in my opinion, baseball replays are absolutely nessessary as sports are become more and more competative, one bad call from an ump can ruin a game and sometimes his or her reputation. the number of them should be limited but it still will be a must!
