Personally, I'm cheering for the US, but I'm very doubtful as to their ability.
What does everyone else think?

I'm hoping England will win but I think that either Spain or Brazil will win it.

Realistically, I know Mexico will not win.
I guess the winners will be either Argentina, Spain, or Germany.

Mexico could go far. As of 6-17 it looks like they're going to come first in group A. France has been disappointing... and they ruined my bracket.

your bracket?
Is anyone else as apalled by this world cup as I am. two things that bug me, I'd like to hear what you guys think...
1.Those godd..n vuvuzelas. Bzzzzzzz
2. The horrible refereeing that is going on, especially in the US vs Slovakia game and the Brazil vs Cote D'ivoire game
Still not keeping me from watching though
My thoughts will echo your name, until I see you again. Love & Hope |

@rolugomi - I totally agree - we were cheated out of a win
And I could have sworn those vuvuzelas were outlawed for causing hearing damage...
But hey, that's soccer for you

Yeah, the refs' calls have been horrible. I just saw the US/Algeria game, and there was a bogus offside call that nearly cost us the game. And near the end, Dempsey got elbowed in the face and was bleeding pretty bad and the ref didn't do a thing.
I hope they get better by the knockout stage.

1.Those godd..n vuvuzelas. Bzzzzzzz Although I'm not a fan of Footy, I did hear about those things. Ugh. They are annoying.
Anyways. Here's hoping for England.

Haha, those vuvuzelas are horrible its like watching a match in a wasp's nest but at least the England fans actually cheer without them. We've got Germany in last 16. Ugh this is going to be tough but at least it should be a good match.

Really? I loved the vuvus!
Even though the competition is over i had high hopes for both the Germans and the Americans. I thought the US really fought with some spirit and they showed great pride even when exiting the tournament.
But man those Germans are something else. They have a really young dynamic team that's sure to grow in the coming years. I cant wait to see them play in the Euro coming up here in two summers. But the Germans have my vote for the next world cup. They'll be adding a 4th star to their jersey here pretty soon.

Plus their defence is so good, they manage to not concede even when the ball is about three feet over the line!
Not that we're still bitter.

SPAIN will surely win it, david villa and others have already proved it earlier and so i am damn sure that this time also, Spain will be the ultimate winner.
