Doctors at Queen's University in Kingston, Ont., have spotted what looks like the face of a screaming man in an ultrasound of a testicular tumour.

According to the news, there's a 70% chance of rape today, and sun tomorrow...

Queen Victoria's underwear sold for almost $15,000
A pair of silk bloomers that belonged to Britain's Queen Victoria has sold at auction for 9,375 pounds ($14,950) — three times the underwear's pre-sale estimate.

Kate Bain from Lyon and Turnbull auctioneers poses for photographers with a framed pair of silk bloomers undergarments that once belonged to Queen Victoria, during a photocall for the auction of the Forbes Collection in Edinburgh, Scotland October 27, 2011. The bloomers are from a collection of over 500 Royal antiques to go on auction on November 1 in Edinburgh, from Old Battersea House which was the London home of the Forbes family, the U.S. publishing dynasty. Divorced groom sues to recreate wedding

NEW YORK, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A New York man suing the studio that photographed his wedding said he is dissatisfied and wants to recreate the event, despite the fact that he is now divorced.

Todd Remis, who is suing H & H Photographers in State Supreme Court, said he wants the $4,100 he paid the studio for photographing his 2003 wedding refunded and an additional $48,000 to fly friends and relatives to the city and recreate the event for another photographer to document, The New York Times reported Thursday.

Remis, who filed his lawsuit in 2009, one year after separating from wife Milena Grzibovska and a year before their divorce was finalized, said the photographers failed to take any pictures of the couple's first dance and the bouquet toss. He said the pictures that were taken "unacceptable as to color, lighting, poses, (and) positioning."

H & H owners Curt Fried, 87, and his son, Dan, said they have already spent $50,000 in legal fees. Dan Fried called the case "an abuse of the legal system."

Former NYPD Narcotics Detective: 'We Fabricated Drug Charges Against INNOCENT People To Meet Arrest Quotas'

Link to NY Times Article

Police framing of perfectly innocent people was commonplace. Sounds like the supervisors on up all knew about it. If that crap goes on in one place, who thinks that it doesn't go on elsewhere?

Police always try to pull that kind of stuff during speed traps to reach their "quota". Police departments need to eliminate that concept if they want any real justice.
Though I think vaguer and possibly more relevant examples of police framing are ones like agents provocateur. I'm pretty sure some have been planted into some OWS protests...like the ones in Italy for example.

Anyway, here is a weird Halloween story I stumbled on....

(CBS/AP) AIKEN, S.C. - A 10-year-old boy pulled a 9mm handgun on a woman after she joked about taking candy from him as he was trick-or-treating.
The 28-year-old woman told police she went up to some kids she recognized and joked she was going to take their candy.

Aiken Public Safety Lt. David Turno says the 10-year-old exclaimed, ""no you're not [expletive]" and pointed the gun at her.

I know people who've been framed by cops... many people. The "average citizen" who never has any experience of being on the "wrong side of the law", has no idea at all of the kinds of things that go on. Cops routinely plant drugs, and rationalize it be "well we know they sell or do drugs anyway". They often assault people they are arresting, in very degrading and abusive ways. Who do you think gives a hoot when someone arrested for selling drugs complains that the cops beat him with billy clubs after they hand-cuffed him? It goes on in Philly, and NYC. I know this stuff from either personal experience or close friends, and it's not a myth. Maybe some people exaggerate this stuff, but it does happen much more than the "average citizen" would believe.

Life... can be so many things... how can anyone ever think they are RIGHT? HAhahahahahahaha!!!!!

Too many police officers think they're above the law. We recently had the G20 summit here in Toronto, and many of the officer removed their name tags so they could beat on people without being identified.

Here is something funny I read:

Ah, justice - thou art a curb!

Edit: Ugh - I can never leave well enough alone. I checked Snopes (the all knowing, all truthful web source) and wouldn't you know it, this is both true and false.

The good news - the assailant received LIFE IN PRISON! This was his 31st arrest. The other good news - the Marines 'detained' him without drama. The injuries were merely psychological, not physical. Semper fi!

Life in prison - take that dirtball!

I just saw this story...

A woman suspected of showering Black Friday shoppers with pepper spray surrendered to authorities but was released pending further investigation after she refused to discuss the incident, police said Saturday.
The woman, whose name was not released, is suspected of firing pepper spray into a crowd in order to clear a path to a crate of Xbox video game players that were being unwrapped late Thanksgiving night at a Walmart in the upscale Porter Ranch section of the San Fernando Valley.
The suspect got away in the confusion, and it was not known if she bought one of the Xboxes. Ten people suffered minor injuries from the spray and 10 others sustained cuts and bruises in the ensuing chaos.
"Last night at 8:30 the suspect involved in the pepper spray incident at the Porter Ranch Walmart turned herself in," police Sgt. Jose Valle said Saturday. She immediately invoked her right against self-incrimination, however, and refused to discuss the incident further.

Apparently this is common place on Black Friday in the US?

I saw that on the news last night. Our station reported she did buy one of the games and they also reported that they believe this is the same person who did this before to clear the crowd so she can get in.

The security guard recalled telling her that it was okay to have the pepper spray, but that it could only be used for protection. I guess trying to protect her buying a game is her reasoning for it be okay.

I say throw the book at her after spraying her in the face with pepper spray so she knows what she did to others for a dumb game... and of course, the game or game unit she got should be returned also.

Some people are insane this time of year

Here is a cool insane one, though

Elderly man returns cash stolen from Sears in '40s

(AP) – 11 hours ago

SEATTLE (AP) — The manager of the Sears store in downtown Seattle says an elderly man has repaid — with interest — cash the man says he stole in the late 1940s.

KING-TV reports that the man hand-delivered an envelope Monday addressed to "Sears manager." Inside were a note and a $100 bill.

The note said the man stole $20 to $30 from a cash register decades ago and wanted to pay back $100.

Manager Gary Lorentson says he thinks the man's conscience "has been bothering him for the past 60 years."

Store security cameras recorded the man, but Sears officials said they don't know who he is and they won't release the video.

The store plans to put the money toward helping needy families in the holiday season.
