Hi Mollie and welcome to Braingle.
"You must have a high score and have some high quality teasers approved to the site before become an editor. Additionally, you should participate in the message boards, report duplicates, correct teasers and generally prove to us that you want to be an editor. Editors are hand picked by the current editors based on their participation in all areas of the website. A good candidate will not need to ask us to become an editor. If you participate in all areas of the website in a productive manner we will notice you."

To help out the editors(the ones who make the final decision) you only need to earn 500 points and then you can review them and earn points in the process, also when you get 500 points you will be able to try and find duplicates and if you find them you can report them and then if that is accepted you will earn 50 points, to become an editor that makes the final decision you will have to have some pretty good quality teasers.

I have a problem. I sent a teaser two weeks ago and it doesn't even have a single vote, positive or negative! Help!

Well just be paitent sometimes the users that rate them are busy doing other things and rating your teasers aren't always on the top of the list.
It doesn't matter how long it takes, if it takes ages to get one vote doesn't mean that it won't be accepted.
