Twilight Moratorium

Hi Jake!

Last July, with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, a temporary moratorium was imposed on all Harry Potter quizzes to the Literature category to prevent spoilers. Do you think you could install a similar moratorium this August, for the release of Breaking Dawn, the latest book in the Twilight series? I've never actually read any of the books myself, but there are a number of Literature quizzes on the series and many members are fans of the series, so there is a high chance quizzes containing spoilers might be submitted within 24 hours of release. I know it'd be more difficult to accomplish since unlike Harry Potter, the Twilight series does not have its own subcategory, but I think this could work by either adding a subcategory or by blocking all quizzes if the words "Breaking Dawn" appear anywhere in the quiz.

I know this wouldn't be the easiest request to implement, but looking back to the Harry Potter moratorium, it seems that preventing spoilers is effective and makes the reading of the book in question more enjoyable for people. It'd be great if you consider this idea. Thanks in advance!

I think this would be a decision to be made by the QMs of the literature category.

Thanks! So, would there have to be unanimous consent or just a majority favor for a moratorium among the Literature QMs, and once consensus is reached, what should we do from there? For example, should a QM just make a forum post requesting that quizzes not be submitted (but no way to enforce it), or should we ask you to implement an "official" moratorium (like with Harry Potter), or something else? Thanks again!

I don't want to do any more official moratoriums because it was difficult and time consuming. I think it could be done with a forum post and then the QMs could just hold off on approving any Twilight quizzes for 2 weeks.
