I've often heard that classical music improves the memory. I agree because it has a calming effect, makes me reflect on certain moments and I usually connect, for example, something I'm reading with the music I'm listening.

Fly free and happy beyond birthdays and across forever, and we'll meet now and then when we wish, in the midst of the one celebration that never can end.

I like to do my homework while listening to classical music.
It calms me when I start getting mad at myself over a hard (or impossible ) math problem.

It's not just classical music. People say it's classical music because most listeners feel/listen to the music.
But, with any song, if you really take in the meaning, and the sounds, and everything that goes into a song, it can improve your mind in a spectacular way.
