For anyone who wants to increase their vocabulary, you can go to www.encarta.msn.com and learn the words of the day (there's 3/day). then you'll b talkin smartly (LOL i dont think thats an actual word) in no time! its also and online dictionary and thesaurus. and it has quizzes u can take to c how much u know bout certain topics like singers, movies, animals, etc.
anyone know of other websites to help increase ur vocab?

Haha. I've actually done that before...
I don't think it taught me very much...

Braingle's vocab builder is really good for improving your vocabulary.
I've tried it but it doesn't really help me, almost all the words in it, I don't recognize.

I think Braingle's vocab builder is really nice. It asks words from the GRE, which is great for preparation for that test. I just wonder how many times you have to define the same word, before it puts it in the "words you know" category though. I've correctly defined quite a few words many times, but it still has them in the "words I may know" category. I still like it though, I love playing around on it.

I belive that if you define a new word (word you haven't been tested with before) correctly twice in a row, it becomes a word that you do know. If you then get that word again and answer it wrong, I belive it goes back to a word you may know.
