Would you want to know exactly when, where, and how you are going to die?

Is the glass half empty or half full?

Why would you ever want to know that?
You would spend everyday that you are alive just thinking about the day that you are going to die..

I totally would want to know! Then I'd know how much time I had left. I'd hate to die without saying goodbye. Then I could do whatever I wanted to do in the time alloted.

Nope, I wouldn't want to know. Cause then you would wake up and think oh yay, another day close to death. If you don't know, you can enjoy every day of your life and not think about death.

I agree with both of you. Who would want to know the day you die??

I would want to know so I could write my will and go bungee jumping the day before I die. With my luck, if I found out I would die tomorrow so I went bungee jumping the next day, that would be the reason I died

Ignorance is bliss. I wouldn't want to know, because during your last few months or so, you would be likely to lose the will to do much of anything, thinking "Why bother? I'm dead in a month, anyway." Rather, I would want to live each day as if it was my last, without having to carry the burden of it being a certainty.

Let's look at a scenario. Let's say that, during the week before you are to die, you meet someone. And this is that someone for whom you've searched your whole life. Now here's the difference: If you knew you were living your last days, you would keep away from that person, for fear of hurting them. Which would seem like the kind-hearted thing to do. And now let's say you don't know. You would put your all into the time you had with them because you would have no fear of losing tomorrow.

Some of you might say that you would live it up "because" you knew when your time was coming. Or maybe, to you, it's the same as a chair being more comfortable when you know you have to get up. Easy to say, because you won't have to put your theory into practical use. It's much different when you're face-to-face with the situation in question. Try being happy when you know that something terrible is coming. For instance, when you were in school (and quite a few of you still are), and you knew you were going to be in big trouble. You can laugh about it on the outside, but you're dreading the moment when the punishment comes.

Now, you may be one of those who take life for granted, and save your efforts for another day. I'm sure that all of you, at one time or another, have lost a loved one. How many of them do you think thought the very same thing?

actually Billy, since I'd probably wind up hurting them anyways, I'd just tell them I was dying so they'd know, and I'd spend as much time as possible with them. I'd rather spend my last days with somebody I love, not avoiding somebody I love. Wouldn't you? You hurt them, you hurt them. You'd hurt them more avoiding them and then dying.

I would kind of like to know when I die, but also i wouldn't because it would cause me to procrastinate on things the need to be done until almost right before I was going to die.

If you do know what day you die on, you would be able to do things you've always wanted to do. You can also prepare yourself for it. If there's a goal, or something you've wanted to do, and you just procrastinate on it without knowing when you die, when you die, that's it! There's no going back. So you'll be on your death bed thinking "dang I wish I did blahblah"
